we have moved in Hurray! Hurray! The house is still not finished but it is livable
stove ordered but won't be here till Dec but the crockpot,grill & microwave will do

I weathered the bedroom suite ( no stain) then hand rubbed with my homemade wax
it really brought out the color our mattress gets here this week

It looks magnificent. What is the weathering process you used to get the gray aged effect? I really like that you are waxing instead of losing the woods natural beauty under some urethane stain finish.

I really hate the way polly turns everything yellow.....I put 0000 steelwool in 1/2 gal of vinager and let it sit 24 hours then add 1/2 gal of water then just paint it on .. you can mix less & you can just keep adding water ...depending on the wood you can also brew up some tea to paint on first to help with the ageing

I have read about the steel wool and vinegar process before, but I never saw it used. It really did a good job for you Thumbs up

its really cool its like your painting with water Rolling on the floor laughing some wood will start turning right away others will take 30 mins before you start to see any change

Does it raise the grain so you need to sand it again before waxing?

I did no sanding .. even on the door that I painted with tea first . your not soaking it just a thin coat

That is good to know. Sanding is my least favorite part of working with wood.

the tea just adds tannins to the woodneeded for the steelwool & vinager to age the wood
