The Green Art Cafe ~ Craft Challenge Part ONE

By Becky Moder (Boopaints) on April 12, 2010

The Green Art Cafe is the recycled craft forum within the Do Overs Cubit and we love to create new out of old! Join us for a new challenge using an old cabinet door, a glue gun, paint and trinkets from around your house. There will be prizes!

Our first recylced craft challenge will be one where you need to collect a few items before I show you what you are making. The fun of this will be to use as much recycled 'stuff' as you can. Plus I am still making mine and can't show you the finished project! :) You will see my finished project this week and have until May 5th to show yours!

Recycled projects are already posted regularly in the Do Overs Cubit but  I want everyone to have the opportunity to be involved!  So there will be prizes!  Everyone participating will receive a small recycled craft prize in the mail but the top project (selected NOT by me but by a non-participant) will win a painted garden brick which they get to design with me...their favorite colors/theme/style. Gnomes and fairies like these cottages, you know.2010-04-12/Boopaints/002133Whoever is not going to participate and c-mails me first can be the judge! I am participating but I can't win, of course

6. One or mores wooden knobs

Start collecting your supplies and then I will show you the most fun project. I have been wanting to make mine for months and having accountability to you to get mine finished will help. I have a larger similar project in mind but baby steps are good.

You are a great sport to start collecting without knowing what you are making! I will post my finished project in the next few days.

You'll have fun and can create this with kids or grandkids....even non artisty types will enjoy this!

I was without my computer where photos of the project were stored. I hope many will create their own version of the challenge. You have until May 5th to finish yours.  Go to part two now!
