They are drought tolerant. In fact, the lady at the local nursery says they grow better in containers than in the ground. They love a location with just morning sun. They grow all the way up to Canada depending on the variety. Nothing gives color like them. They remind me of Coleus as far as color is concerned; however, they are perennials. I divide them and make more which saves money. They are easier to propagate than Echinaceas! I guarantee if you try one or two of them you will become hooked.
