My dear:

Dried Elderberries are usually in my cupboard. (They are a bit stinky). Drop a few in hot water or in food...purple will be the name of the game. I've heard they fight the flu.

How's this?

I heard that lemon peel / oil kills all sort of lung infections (colds, etc). So, I bought a few lemons and zested the peel and put it in my humidifier. Nuthing.

So, I put some in my Vita Mix along w/ some fresh lemon juice squeezed and added a teaspoon of water. (Just use a good blender). Then, I put all of this into boiling water and drank it like hot tea. The lemon vapors from the tea felt really good in my lungs and the "tea" was wonderful.

Plus, I felt better.

One more,

Pomegrante (sp and I don't have time to look it up) seeds and all in my Vita Mix and drink it down. I've tried that a few years ago and think it worked. The juice in the store isn't as fresh and doesn't seem to work as well, although when I'm sick I want Chicken Noodle soup, Pom juice, orange juice and 7 up.

I have some Peppermint Oil and would put it in hot water and drink it. However, I got a bit too many vapors in my nose and not only dried my nose out but also started having nose bleeds. I stopped using the oil but still enjoy the tea. LOL

Lol... I can see that happening! But I bet it would taste wonderful!

It did taste wonderful; I really enjoyed it. One teeny, tiny drop of oil in a huge jug of water.
