ABOUT MY GARDEN
My garden is in Missouri- zone 5 - mostly sun with a small area of shade.
We've done some major rennovating this year, putting on a 10 foot wide covered porch around two sides of our earth-contact house. It left me with large areas of new planting beds that desperately need planted! I grow primarily flowers and ornamentals with very few veggies, although I would like to expand the edibles. I'm planning to interplant ornamentals with veggies around the porch and nearby beds. I'm hoping it will truly be a "kitchen garden", pretty and tasty at the same time.
Saving seed is new to me, but I'm really enjoying learning. I arrived too late for a couple of varieties in my yard, but I did capture several pods here and there this fall. | |
