Dwarf Fernleaf Dill - lots up now Bouquet Dill - lots up now Slo Bolt Cilantro - lots up now Italian Flat-Leaf Parsley - lots up now Purple Tansy - lots up now New Things: Lao Purple Eggplant 3/10 2/3 Casper Eggplant 1) 1/7 2) 1/7 3) 1/7 Texas Bluebonnet 3/10 1/2 cell 6 - this is the earliest germination yet for me with lupines - I think Ella's trick with the clippers did the trick. Sown 9 March 11 (2 seeds each): Asparagus Pea 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) Sown 10 March: 2 Seeds Each: 1) Easter Egg Plant 2) Nipple Fruit 3) Chinese Lantern 4) Pumpkin On A Stick 8 Seeds Each: 1) Bulls Blood Beet 2) Flamingo Chard 3) Bloomsdale Spinach 4) Ruby Red Orach Broadcast: 1) Catnip 2) Slo Bolt Cilantro 3) Italian Flat-Leaf Parsley 4) French Perfume Lavender I'm encouraged by the success with the herbs I sowed earlier. I wasn't sure about the viability of some of the older seed, so this second batch is just stuff I want more of. Next week, probably the Friday after St. Patrick's Day, I'll sow the basil, a pretty big production for me. Like Critter, I grow a lot of different kinds. I hope you all get a smile when you see stuff of yours on my sowing list! I'm having SO much fun with all of the new-to-me things. Grazie a tutti, Julianna |

| Mmm, I haven't had a cinnamon roll in ages either! It just hit the spot! Its been raining/snowing for about 3 days here. I went outsdie earlier to scatter some seeds and slipped and fell in the slush.....I'm fine but it was probably quite funny for any neighbors who were watching! Especially since it was on a bit of a slope so I slid down the slope as I fell Congrats ont he sprouts Chelle!!! Not much here....yet. I did notice some botanical Tulips starting to poke up yesterday though! Turquoise Sun is now on Facebook, come join HERE and stay updated with the latest news and articles!!! |

| Ciao all- Gosh, Steven, yeah, it was really soupy on the sidewalks earlier today. I needed to get over to the bank, but elected to wait until the afternoon as I knew I'd be walking and I'm not the most sure-footed mountain goat out there. Therese, yes, they're all downstairs. I guess I'm kind of like an eggplant myself. I really don't like gardening outside until I don't need a parka. Grazie a tutti, Julianna |

| Can I start hollyhocks inside? If so, should I be doing that now? Grazie a tutti, Julianna |
|
|||
| Hollyhocks are easy to sprout, they don't need any special treatments. Some will even flower first year. What type are you planning to start? I've sown the Pale Pink Ruffle and a Black one. They should look quite interesting planted together. Turquoise Sun is now on Facebook, come join HERE and stay updated with the latest news and articles!!! |

| Chiming in with another Sprout report...actually a delayed sprout report and some things have already been potted up... Agastache Mexicana Purple - up Agastache Pink Pop - no show Amaranthus Tricolor Perfecta - no show. Balsam Blackberry up and potted up till I'm sure we are done with sneaky little frosties beasts. Balsm Double Cameila - no show Cerinthe major Purpurascens - UP and I'm doin the happy dance as I've not had much luck with these in the past. Cosmos - first flat of 18 cells is up and growing like little weeds.....2nd set sown. Cupea Summer Medley - up Echinacea Most are up, but Mac N Cheese is still no show... Ephorbia marginata - potted up ready to go out. four O clock Custard and Cream - 6 up, may do some more. Petunia Double Blue Cascade and Valentine up and they are soooooooo cute ! Still have them under lights. Sun Flower's Chianti - Drawf Teddy Bear-Irish Eyes- Italian White - Ruby Eclipse - Just now poking out. I do an early set and later in spring I will direct sow some also. More seeds for the birds. All the Zinnia's came up but the Zahara Starlight rose - which I really wanted ! So will try again. Salvia - Pinneapple sage, Wild thing, and Mesa Purple up and running rampant ! Bunches of MG's started growing under lights. Oh and tomatoes and Peppers, and Spinach that was an extra and it's growing wonderful ! I forget the name now...shoot. Oh and radishes. I planted to many, I should have spaced it out...we're gonna have radishes coming out our ears ! That's about it for veggies for me. It gets to hot here. Next winter I'm going to try the cool crops tho, Oh I should have gotten a few marigolds to plant with the tomatoes and peppers...I don't like any of the ones I'm seeing in the stores. Seem's like all they have are the teensy ones or the Pom Pom looking ones. All you growing all those veggies do you freeze them or can ? We used to freeze and can when I was a kid back in Maryland. oK..my arms' are sore, we have put up just over 500 feet of fencing this week. Did the last 178 feet today. Glad to see everyone's reports it's fun to see what your growing. |

| MJ -- glad your Custard and Cream are doing well. I didnt collect any for myself, but left a bunch on the ground figuring they'd germinate. I noticed little piles all over the place of eaten 4-O'C seeds. The lil buggers [I'm thinking voles or field mice] were eating ALL the seeds... and i thought they were poisonous. Guess I wont have a lot of volunteers this year, if any. as for Pink Pop, i recall it being a late germinater. I checked my records from last year... sown on 2/5 germinated on 4/10 ... figuring we dont' see much warmth at all until mid-March. so dont give up on it yet. Ugg- and i had tons of marigold seeds i could have given you. Terese -- Itasca, IL & Lake Delton, Wi My Email is my userID at hotmail.com |

| I just checked my records. I started agastache "pink pop" on a heatmat and the first sprout was 5 days later. I had really good germination from them- probably around 90%. |

| Does anyone have seeds for a shrimp plant? Another person is looking for some and I just thought I'd ask for her. |
|
|||
| Terese - did you start your purple mesa's ? funny, we stopped by a nursery and they had the scarlet one's so I bought one. Maybe I'll have seeds for it for next years swap . I'm taking some cuttings to make more. |
