A few years ago I held a fun spring luncheon for some friends. I had started a number of seeds ahead of time and on the day of the luncheon, guests were each given 5 or 6 pots and we able to choose which seedlings they wanted to pot up to take home. We enjoyed mimosas while potting up. Then we sat down to a luncheon of salad, rolls, and dessert. It was tons of fun and I'd like to do it again some year, maybe with a theme of chocolate plants.

This is what I used for the wording on the invitation. I used a fancy font and printed it up onto pretty paper. It was all centered on the paper. Invitations are one of my favorites things about entertaining!

These were the party favors. They came in handy during the potting activity! I've been searching and searching for some nice brown-colored gloves to go with my chocolate theme. Some company needs to make them!

We live about five minutes away from the Chocolate Flower Farm. So for the chocolate-themed party, I'm thinking about having everyone bring a container, then we'd go over to CFF and pick out plants, then come back here to pot them up and have lunch.

I did not find my brown gloves - I'll check at Lowe's next time I'm in town. (I live on an island off the coast of Washington State and we don't have many 'chain' type stores at our disposal.) I have to go over next Friday, so hopefully I can go a little early and swing by Lowe's.

Green bunco - fun idea! Did you get green dice? Have you bought the seeds yet? If not, consider getting Bells of Ireland. They did really well for me the one year I planted them from seed. And I've not had a ton of luck sowing seeds directly into the ground. Plus they just fit in with your them so well!

Hopefully you can find a lot of St. Pat's stuff on sale right now! Green sparkley St. Pat's confetti sprinkled on the tables. Shamrock plant(s) on the food table or in the powder room. If you are going do put any flowers in clear vases, you can put whole limes down inside the vase (submerged in water).

It would be fun to serve Irish coffees, esp if you had a person who could keep 'em coming. (They could put less and less "Irish" and more and more coffee in them as the night wore on and got closer to people driving home.)

Great idea for a bunco theme!
