OK, so their shipping is expensive... but they carry many one-of-a-kind plants. A drool-worthy catalogue.

I've heard it's getting harder to get his seeds into the US, but well worth the effort. Great photos and habitat information.

World Plants http://www.worldplants.com/

One of my absolute favorite nurseries. Every year I find new and exciting plants, and every year I order a ton of plants.
Last year the box was crushed by the post office, although only one plant was damaged. Gerry quickly sent a replacement, I didn't even have to pay for the shipping.

Willow Creek Gardens. I bought some Arisaema tubers there (griffithii 'Prad' and speciosum 'Mag') and they were Huge and healthy. Very cooperative and timely. http://www.willowcreekgardens.com/index.asp

Sue,
These sites you've listed are amazing! I was pleasantly surprised to see many natives amid the eclectic mix at http://www.worldplants.com.

I'm tempted to list a few that I have been very disappointed in. As a relative newbie to "rigorous gardening" and buying plants online I've found out the hard way to check the opinions of knowledgeable, experienced gardeners before buying online. There are a lot of large firms out there that are large on marketing and small on product.

That is very true about the large on marketing and small on product.

It's also very tempting to wait for the end of the season sales, but sometimes even with a discount, the plants are disappointing.

Every gardener has his/her own experiences. Some companies I've had great service, and then terrible- or one year great plants and then next not so good.

I love World plants, for a long time I was afraid to tell anybody about them, I didn't want to share! lol
