Water! Admittedly more than they want but it looks beautiful to me!

Our ground is hard and cracked; it is even so dry that the weeds aren't growing. The grass is long gone. The fence posts can be lifted straight up out of their holes where the soil has shrunk away.

I trimmed the feet on one of the horses this morning and they were so dry and hard I was beginning to wonder why there wasn't some sort of power tool for the purpose. The dogs even had trouble chewing up the trimmings.

They are predicting a chance of rain next week - as high as 50% some days...Maybe this time they will be right?
