This year we are on our way to Pigeon Forge, this will be my 2nd visit there. We have a cabin rented and it is fabulous looking. We are sharing the cabin and cost with family members and friends. Sharing keeps the cost down. We have a few simple rules beside sharing what we buy in way of food and sharing cooking duties and clean-up. We also understand that we have time to enjoy our own individual vacation time, going out on your own to explore, eat, and play. We do go out as a group too. Here is just one of the Cabin Rental Companies in the area http://www.yourcabin.com/?gclid=CNmf5uzeoagCFYPD7QodJRjcHQ

I loved the Smokies park, we were only there for two days but I must go back and do more. I think that I shall never see...A poem lovely as a tree ( Kilmer) Whatever the weather, you can bring your own sunshine (DD) I'm not REAL smart but I think I'm pretty good average (my dad)

I've just got to see the Old Mill, I love water mills. There's a gerat site called 'Hikinginthe smokies.com" which details all the trails, where they start, elevations, features...very helpful. I used it to choose a trail for us and it worked out great. And their 'crowded on a summer weekend' is nothing like we call crowded who are used to East Coast beaches etc crowded. Gatlinburg itself though was crowded just like 'the Boardwalk' We didn't like that part. We stayed in G burg at Hilton and it is on the lower end of a side road so it is adjacent to a small riverside park. Nice after dinner stroll. I think that I shall never see...A poem lovely as a tree ( Kilmer) Whatever the weather, you can bring your own sunshine (DD) I'm not REAL smart but I think I'm pretty good average (my dad)

Dear Friends and Followers of this Cubit, It is with a very heavy heart that I have to share the news that our beloved Chris, "ladygardener1", passed away on September 9th, 2011. She had been fighting metastasized breast cancer for quite some time, and I think we all thought she'd continue bouncing back. Sadly, this was not to be. We have all lost a wonderful, caring friend, whose legacy will live on in our hearts forever. Here is a link to the obituary in her local paper: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/erietimesnews/obituary.aspx... I so hope that Chris did indeed get to take the trip to that beautiful cabin in the mountains. Breathe in, Breathe out...Move on - Jimmy Buffett

| For those of you who knew Chris/Ladygardener1 on DG, they have put up a thread in the Memory Garden Forum for her now. (I hated typing that sentence) Here's the link: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1235626/ Jill/Critterologist will be setting up a Tributes thread in the "Circles of Support for Breast Cancer" Cubit soon, and I'm sure she'll let us know when it's ready.
