The old thread was just dragging badly so now we have a fresh new one where we can while away the hours learning all sorts of fascinating stuff or simply enjoy chatting with good friends. Hope everyone finds us ok.

You'll like these aloes. These are at the Los Angeles Arboretum.

You are so right. I love them. Who is the couple in the photo? That is one of the first times I have seen people in your photos or your drives. It is almost like there are never any people anywhere that you go and you live in one of the busiest places on earth. I have never figured that out yet.

Those are just a couple of strangers. There were so many people there today that there were no parking spaces left. We had to park at the race track across the street. (There were no races today, so that particular lot was open.) They were having a mushroom show and I would never have guessed that mushrooms were so popular. When we go to the Arboretum, we usually eat there, but today the line in the cafe was too long, so we decided to wait and eat after we got home.

So.......You are just good at taking pictures without people. I thought maybe those were friends of yours since it was so rare to see people in your shots. I am like you in the fact that I wouldn't have thought that mushrooms would have drawn a crowd anymore than if it were green bean day. Big Grin

Boy, I hear that Elena. I never thought I'd live to hear the day that someone was addicted to Comet Cleanser...what!!??? I couldn't even think of imagining putting that stuff in my mouth. They don't show the picture in the video below, but I guess she got all her teeth recapped. The original TV showed where the comet had ate all of her teeth up, almost to the gum line.

I've heard of people eating dirt, but at least that isn't harsh. My grandma would say, "It doesn't take all kinds, but we got all kinds." Whistling

I watched part of that episode and her whole mouth was in terrible conditon. The dental surgeon gave her a whole new mouth full of implants. The implants cost $00000s each. Only stipulation was that the woman stop eating the cleanser. One I did NOT watch was the one of the young man who eats glass light bulbs amongst other glass items.

Much of the snow is melted including what is in front of the garage. Next time my helper comes I'll have her open the garage door and get out of the way while I attempt to plow thru what is left with the van. Kyle refuses to remove the snow because they don't want me to be able to go anywhere. I'll need to ask the doctor if they were behind him saying I couldn't go back to work last month and be sure they aren't trying to interfere again.

I didn't get a lot done today but I have walked a lot with no cane or walker.

GOD bless and keep each of you.

I saw the doctor today and got the release to go back to work. I'll start on Monday. So today was my last day with my helper. We didn't know if she stayed until I got my first paycheck or if it would be as it is. We did get a lot of stuff cleared out of the house and she got me started on some projects.

It is suppose to cool off a lot in a few days but then warm back up. End of the month is suppose to be a repeat of '75 with one of the worst snow storms of the season hitting the last couple or 3 days of the month.

I need to get to bed. Tired but not too achy for once. I've eaten all the whole grain snack type crackers so there is nothing to melt cheese over and I don't feel like eating as much as a grilled cheese. Not even an open face one. I'm not really hungry at all but am in the bad habit of eating just before I go to bed. Some of my meds are suppose to be taken with food. Anyway something nice and warm and cheesey is a comfort food to me. I like to melt cheese over some flavor of Wheat Thins or Triscuits. Just a few is enough.

GOD bless and keep each of you.

So glad you will get to go back to work. I know you have missed it. I know what you mean about eating late. I just have a hard time sometimes trying to decide what will taste good. Sometimes I decide to just forget the whole darn thing and start over in the morning. Tonight I came up with a crazy mix of stuff but it all tasted good. I often think over what I have nibbled on over an hour or so and then think what a silly meal it has all amounted to.

It is time to gather up the remains of my meal, clean up the stuff left out in the kitchen, wake the cat that is sleeping peacefully by the computer, take him with me and go to bed. Nighty night to whoever is reading this or NOT!

Leaflady, so glad you are doing well.

I try not to eat too late because I have reflux and laying down after eating is not a good idea for me. Sometimes I have a bit of chocolate milk.

We have had some glorious weather the last few days. Today was warm enough but it was overcast all day and rained hard for a short time late this evening. I have been able to get to some much needed work since the weather has warmed up. Hope we have seen the last of old man winter.

Hey girl! You were up mighty late too. I didn't hit the hay until almost 3 this morning. I really must start working at getting to bed earlier. It is hard for night owls to try to get our bedtimes into more realistic hours, like maybe even 1 AM. I always feel pretty good about it if I can ease it back to 1. I have been enjoying the different threads you have placed in different forums at the different sites about the puppy. I like a good story with a good ending like that. Actually, it is just a good beginning in reality.

It looks like I will get to bed early tonight. Good thing too. Got church in the morning. I only got the "have to get done stuff" done today. Didn't feel good and it was cold this morning so I got a late start.

The pup is doing well. We are trying to take him with us more when we go feed so he will get well socialized. He is such a smart pup. I would like to train him as a service or therapy dog. Maybe take him to the nursing home. I am suprised he is so well behaved at such a young age. Except his crate. He tries hard to avoid it. LOL

Wouldn't the patients love that little feller with the adorable face? Sounds like a good plan. Have a blessed day tomorrow.
