| I understand there are a few fans of BBT on this forum and so I am starting this thread for their comments on this silly show. Did anyone see the rerun last night of Sheldon's Mother's visit? I laughed just as much as I did the first time I saw it. How the actors manage to keep a straight face when they say some of those things is beyond me. The writers are great. I am totally hooked on this fun show. |

I love all of the mothers on this show. They're all completely different, but each is funny in her own way. It's interesting that only Raj has a father. Does this suggest that single-parent families produce nerds? Or do nerds produce single-parent families? Did the fathers flee in horror?  I've watched the show from the beginning and I really love it. The addition of Mayim Bialik to the cast was a brilliant choice. She's such a strange duck, on the show and in reality, and she plays the part so well. Lately I've really appreciated the show as something that can boost the self-esteem of young nerds. It's gratifying to see that these four guys are all successful in their careers, and that one of them could even win the love of the beautiful girl next door. Much better than a show about slackers. |

| I adore this show...watch reruns every night over and over just like my grandfather used to watch I Love Lucy over and over. Re: when you're talking Christine Baranski and, oh dear, what's the name of the actress who plays Sheldon's mother and was Jackie on Roseanne? Rats, can't remember at the moment...these are two of the BEST! Loved Christine Baransky on Cybil and loved what's her name on Roseanne. Edited to add......Laurie Metcalf, had to look it up. There's very little TV I watch lately. Watch the evening news and then BBT, turn the TV off and read.....but I never miss BBT...lol.. And Sara Gilbert! Always a favorite!....."Call me......" |

| There are some shows that were just so good. I remember my Dad watching reruns of Everybody Loves Raymond over and over. I was lucky in that I didn't watch BBT at first. Jer watched it and kept telling me how good it was and at first I thought it was just dumb....lol..then when I got hooked, I had all of the reruns to watch that were new to me. |
