The show starts on Wednesday, May 28th, with two hours of auditions from New Orleans and Chicago. For some stupid reason, Justin Bieber will be there. No, not as a celebrity judge, but to introduce a new segment on dance crew competitions.
I just glanced at the scehdule for SYTYCD and I was in a hurry, but it looks like Bieber is there for more than just tonight.....cannot figure out whose bad decision that was...does his agent pay people to take him?
lol..yes, I was thrilled to see Star Wars.....I wish there could be more truly good 'feel good' films......
The best "feel good" movie for me is "Ruthless People." I just love the attention to detail at the end of that movie, when all of the good people are rewarded, all of the bad people are punished, and all of the plot lines of various subplots are neatly tied up together in the most satisfying manner.
Was Danny DeVito in that? I didn't see it. There are really very few movies that I see. I meant to go last week when Redwood Highway was here in town, that one I would go see, but somehow got involved with other things and didn't. I'll read for hours, anywhere, anytime, but somehow don't usually feel I can commit to the block of time that a movie takes....
Mmmm Tender Mercies, Field of Dreams, and Princess Bride all are my favorite feel good movies. I can watch them over and over. The lack of dialogue in Tender Mercies speaks to me!
The loving friendship between Andre the Giant and Mandy Patinkin is so sweet.
I wonder if I can program my DVR to delete the Bieber brat from the show?
He's the poster child of what is wrong with our society.
Field of Dreams I saw.....yes, I did enjoy that one....
I wanted to reach through the screen and grab Bieber by the throat. I would think that even the young girls who know no better would be sick of him by now....beyond the fact that he's apparently just a little thug.
It's awful that we have to wait a whole week between SYTYCD episodes now. There's almost nothing to watch on TV. I did watch a police procedural show called "Motive" last night, and Robert Roldan played a small part on the show, so we do at least get occasional glimpses of our past favorites elsewhere on TV.
Tonight I have Big Bang Theory...lol...that's it, but I went to the library today and have a big bag full of mags and books, so I'm good. I do have to admit that since moving up here and having to have cable, that I've become a fan of Rehab Addict, Pawn Stars and American Pickers...I try to read while Jer's watching these programs, but find myself ending up watching...
In case you all got jaded and didn't watch the dances of the first week of the competition, here's a contemporary piece that will knock you out! In view of the mastery of these two in the first week, is there any chance of a learning curve? They're already perfect.
