|I don't care what reason brought you to join our little band of merry-making homemakers. You may feel like you are at the end of your rope when it comes to creating a lovely and peaceful home for you and your family, or you may have come through the great learning journey and have advice to lend. We are here to welcome you.
We've been there, done that, and we use the T-shirts as cleaning rags! We have each felt overwhelmed, so much so that we don't know where to start - so we don't! We just sit in our confusion and don't move.
I'm here to tell you that it's time to forgive yourself. Those days of not knowing what to do first are going to be behind you, and soon enough, little by little, your family will seem calmer and you will be less tense. Your home will become a peaceful place because you will gradually become a peaceful and accepting person. Are you ready to begin?
If you are a person who works outside of the home you probably already have a good idea about creating some routines. You know what you have to do to get ready for work each day. You know in what order things have to be done at work each day in order to have a successful outcome. And, you know how to 'clean up' at the end of the work day so that you can go home.
It's the same for everyone whether you are a stay-at-home or a payroll person. We all need routines to help things move along in a logical and productive fashion, and that's what we will help you develop here at Homemakers'.
You will need a few tools to help you go from frustration to peace:
1. A timer
2. A calendar
3. A piece of paper and a pencil
That's all you need! Oh, and us, of course! We provide the push you may need to get started and the pat on the back when you need it most. Just remember, we are all in this together and we won't let each other down.
There are at least two places on this website that you should check daily:
1. The day's entry in the "Playbook" forum
2. The current week's entry in the "All Around the House" forum
We'll see you there!!
