What's the room we sometimes seem to neglect the most? Conversely, what's the room where we wish to retreat to after a long, hard day (or week) and recharge ourselves? Would you say that it's our bedroom? I would!

I used to think that my bedroom was the place I'd put anything and everything that didn't 'fit' anywhere else in my home. I never could wrap my brain around keeping my room neat, clean, and serene for ME. Now I see just how important it is for me to have this one spot in my home that's clutter-free and peaceful. My whole life seems to flow better. And I certainly know I sleep better at night!

So, here we go into our Master Bedroom this week:

Monday:
This week we are in the Master Bedroom.
Today I want you to spend 15 minutes under your bed! No, don't hide under there!
Take this time to get the things out from under the bed that you have shoved under there during a mad stash and dash through the house. Today's 15 minutes might not be enough, but for today, just try to put a dent in the stuff that you have put there. Things that just don't belong.

If you don't have anything under your bed, then grab a vacuum cleaner or broom and get the dust bunnies that have been multiplying under there. Have fun with this, just 15 minutes, and remember to set your time and go go go!

****************************************
Tuesday:
Unmentionable time!
It is time to fling some socks and pantyhose today. You know that drawer that is full of old pantyhose and mismatched socks that you have held on to for reasons you don't even know. It is time to go through and toss, toss, toss. Be good to yourself and let go of these things that are cluttering up your bedroom. Hidden in a drawer or not, it is still clutter. Take 15 minutes and toss, toss, toss!

Want a Bonus Declutter Mission? Go after that pile that is on top of the dresser. This will become a hot spot for me if I am not careful. Set your timer for 5 minutes - I bet you can get rid of that pile in less than 5.
**************************************************
Wednesday:
Today is the day that you get a really short mission.
The only thing you have to do is grab your feather duster or dust rag and dust off the tops of your door jambs and windows. I am short and don't really see the tops of these areas very often, so I have a tendency to forget about them. Take the duster or rag and wipe across the tops of the molding and jambs. Take a swipe across the hinges as well; they seem to collect little dusties as well. This is quick and easy and makes quite a nice difference.

Bonus Declutter Mission:
Set your timer for 5 minutes and toss 27 things (do a 27 fling boogie) in your bedroom.
********************************************

Thursday:
Back in the Master Bedroom we go. For today check the hot spot that might be warming up on your nightstand. Get it quick before it turns into a four alarm fire! Take a few minutes today to straighten up your nightstands. Perhaps, it being the first week of Spring, you'd like to put a pretty flower arrangement on that table. Have fun, this is not a chore, it is blessing your home.

Bonus Declutter Mission: Get rid of 5 items of clothing in your bedroom that you do not wear anymore.
******************************************

Finally Friday:
Today is the last day in the Master Bedroom. Take 15 minutes to declutter the laundry. Set your timer and put away the laundry that you were going to put away later. Later is NOW.
Take the time to take care of this; it really makes a great difference.

Bonus Declutter Mission: Your choice is to get rid of 5 more pieces of clothing from your closet OR put away another basket of laundry.

And don't forget to check out the Detailed Cleaning List for the Bedroom. Let's begin to create a warm, safe, and serene place for us.

Thank you Candyce. I print these out each week and I'm getting quite a pile. I LOVE it. At the end of three months, I'm going to consolidate them in my Word program and I'll be good to go ......

I still need my heavy drapes here to help keep out the cold. I can't wait to wash windows and put up spring curtains. No wonder the house feels so dark. Bad enough that we don't have any sun.....Now they are saying nasty weather most of the week.
Watch out Vic - I may find myself traveling soon if this keeps up!!!!!!

Are we on the master bedroom for this coming week? All my activities are over and now I can clean the rest of the summer.

I did whip my kitchen back in shape so I'll start in the master bedroom on Monday.

I am going to Des Moines tomorrow and Omaha next Friday, but that's it for the summer.
