What a great weekend I enjoyed with the family! The weather is getting warmer and the sun stays out a bit longer now, so we can all enjoy some fresh air.

From last Friday evening on, I was a bit busy here and there, doing fun stuff with the family. On Friday night we had family game night, and even little Miss Morgan tried to play Uno with us. She got a set of Toy Story 3 Uno cards for Christmas, and this was the first time we all tried playing with her. Needless to say, though, she got bored after about 20 minutes. I guess matching just isn't her forte!

Saturday was very leisurely. I did the grocery shopping in the early afternoon, which I hate to do that late, but it was just so nice to be able to sit and enjoy the family in the morning. When I left to do the grocery shopping, I wore my wool winter coat. By the time I made it down the hills to town, I shed the coat pretty quickly! Ah! Sunshine and warmth!

Anna and I both have the itch to start some seedlings, but we know that it's too early for that. We'd start them inside, but the cats just love to eat the little sprouts, to that's not an option. She and I will just have to curb out enthusiasm for a few more weeks!

Sunday was a very nice day as well, as we all puttered around outside from time to time. We watched a hockey game on TV, and then the Masters Golf Tournament (the only golf I will watch, simply because of the beautiful flowers in the landscaping and the sound of the birds), then we watched a few innings of the Red Sox battling the Yankees on TV. I don't know how the game ended up, because we all went to bed early - too much fresh air - LOL!

I'm raring to go today, and am even on the second load of laundry. This week is Bathroom week, and there's a lot to accomplish in all three of ours! I'll have the list posted in just a few. But, just to let you know, I have scrubbed down the shower walls and sprayed a little Pledge on them to make them shine. I've done the Swish 'n Swipe in the downstairs bath and swept the floor. The bath rugs from all of the bathrooms are in the laundry as I type. I think that's enough for today - LOL! At least for the downstairs bathroom, that is. I have to repeat the process for the upstairs.

So ... on to the rest of the day. Happy Monday everyone!

I worked my tail off over the week-end and still got in a couple of hours of fishing off the dock.

When I leave, I like to leave things tidy at the lake. I managed to wade through some old paperwork left over from year end . . . poof! Then I cleaned out 3 drawers in the upstairs kitchen where we stored various odds and ends when it was being built. I wasn't as thorough to throw out but definitely got rid of a lot of unecessary stuff.

It was a good feeling to climb on the plane yesterday knowing what I had done.

Today I went through my closet in CA and there's a big bag of old clothes on their way out. Yay! I'm going to a big home & garden show on Friday to start collection ideas for re-doing the back yard and pool. Sat I hope to be having a day with Donna (SoCal) and we'll have lunch with HappyGirl.
I am happy to say there's not much to do around so it will truly be an R&R trip.

The weather is beautiful; all the amaryllis are blooming profusely & life is good.

Been remiss in my postings this week. Been busy trying to finish up a couple of quilts. Today I'm off for food shopping. Tomorrow I will have some time for me and I'll check back then. Hope all are well.

Oh, yes I am! Going to the Home & Garden show today. Tomorrow I will go visit Donna (SoCal). She is back on chemo again so she has no appetite. We'll just go visit her and try to cheer her up. We won't be bringing any food around her. We had a nice lunch with her in January when she COULD eat.

Luckily there isn't much housework to do here in CA. The children are off on a trip to Northern Cal to visit my granddaughter so I have the place to myself. I sat in the sun and read a book yesterday . . ahhhh!

I've been bagging up old clothes and hauling them away. I decided that the things I've hung onto for 20 years need to go. I bought a new sweat suit and a pretty dress for Easter. The dress I used to love that I wore to my DGD's college graduation last spring really left a bad taste in my mouth; I felt so outdated, I threw it away. Guess you have to put those clothes on to know they need to be pitched.

Everyone,
Have a good day and an even better week-end. Enjoy your family, vic.
