| Well, ladies, I'm home permanently for the summer and am back to my cleaning. We finally got our warmer weather (98 today) but tremendous winds along with it. I stay inside in those kinds of winds. So I have been cleaning like crazy. We got a new stool in the down bathroom this week so I cleaned it top to bottom . . . squeaky clean. All the covers for our hot water heat have been removed to be sandblasted and repainted so it was a perfect opportunity to clean those areas. (That sorta includes the dining room and entry way). Hope everyone is keeping up when they can. A |

| Hi Arlene, Been busy here too. I had a DG friend come from IL last week and spent a day with her and her family. We had a lovely time showing her a bit of NH. Had my house spotless before she cama and I'm trying to keep it that way. Good days and bad days!!! Had a guest and her two children for dinner Thurs night that ate me out of house and home!!! Everything she could get a hold of was gone!!! 1st she got the songbird seed, then came back for hte suet and again for the thistle. Needless to say no more feeders out for us!!!Have a great weekend. | Oh my goodness Barb! I can't believe you got a photo! YIKES!!!!!!!! Arlene - you're getting the temps we've been having. I'm keeping up. I work inside til it gets light and work outside til the heat drives me in, etc. Have a wonderful week-end! vic |

| Oh, my! You have BEARS?! I'm never coming for a visit. Zany would probably appreciate that pic for her puzzles. Yes, very hot here but that's ok. Got some plants in the ground yesterday and did some watering last night. I need to go see what area of the house we are to work on this coming week. My goal is to clean my garage. It usually is done by April/May and this year it just didn't get done. We have an annual garage sale here on the lake in a couple of weeks. This is going to be deep cleaning in the garage to get rid of some things at that sale. The week after the sale is the annual junk day; You can drop your junk at the state park and they haul it away for you. Hope we can dispose of some things that way too. June is going to be "deep cleaning" month for me. |

| Here's what's been going on in my head all day.... Lions, tigers, and BEARS - Oh My!!!!!!!!!! |
| Got half of the garage floor cleaned today; I'm beat. Tomorrow will be easier to finish. |
| Hi everyone! My hubby started digging our our basement a few weeks ago and ever since then my schedules been all wonkie |
| Good to see you Annmarie! How exciting. More space! I finally got my garage cleaned. I'll be back to get on track. |
| Oh Annmarie! Remodeling and new construction are always so stressful but I know you're keeping your eye to the end of the project. Sounds wonderful!!!!!!!!! Hang in Arlene and I'm glad you're getting some help on Saturday! vic |

| Hang in there Arlene! there IS a light at the end of the tunnel...er... at least thats what I keep telling myself |
| This is NOT the way I would want my June to go; but it's OK. Ther IS a light at the end of the tunnel. God works in mysterious ways. So sorry I can't be in here as much as I would like to. |
| But you ARE here Take care of you |
| Light?? Did you say light? I'm hiding in dark glasses from the light right now. Had cataract and laser work done on my left eye on the 8th. It is healing beautifully and my vision has improved so much. Next Wed the 22nd, I'm getting the right eye done. So I'm afraid June has not been a housework month. We had the place spotless before company Memorial Day and it is holding up pretty well. I'm so grateful Norm is home right now to help though. The drill of no lifting, no bending etc is hard to keep up with when I'm used to doing for myself and nobody drops things more than I!!!!! Glad to hear you are well ladies - I've missed popping in here as often as I did. Sounds like things are happening at your homes too. How was your company Vic? Did you enjoy the family? Arlene, I thought you were going to have the summer for you. Are you back at the plant??? And Annmarie, here you go again too... There is light ahead but we just need to wait for it I guess. Take care ladies - I'm off to sew for a while now that I can pretty much see what I'm doing!!!! Oh, and no more dinner guests - but then I'm no longer providing treats for them either!!! LOL |

| So good to see you Barb! and so happy the surgery went well and you will be able to SEE! Company came and went and we had a wonderful time! We're going way back up in the high 90's next week! UGH.... |

| Wow, Barb. You do such beautiul quilting WITH the cataracts . . . how much better can it get . . . to see better? Vic, Glad you had a wonderful time with your company! Now you rest and enjoy the rest of your summer. Our Production Manager is taking a two week vacation this week and next. Because we have a huge consignment which needs to go out a week from tomorrow, I elected to go to the plant and work. I was trained many years ago through the entire process just so I would understand the process, but I couldn't really step in and do anything. I didn't have that much training. This week I have learned a lot and have been helping out doing menial tasks. The days are long because I get up early and do paper work; then come home at night and do paperwork. I am finally used to the 40 mile round trip every day. I use the drive time as my quiet time. . . do some thinking. We produce a stellar product . . . it is really a thing of beauty . . . no one else does this. (yeah, I know, gettin' carried away here). I just didn't realize it until now. I actually get a "blast" out of using the sandblast machine. (Pathetic . . huh?). Tomorrow I will stay home as my new housecleaning lady will be here to clean. Aren't I lucky? DH doesn't mind paying her and, I think, he is proud that I can do this. He has always said I couldn't do this or that because I might break a nail. Well, I know I am a "girly girl" but I am showing him I can do it! He is a man of few words but I think he is proud of me. I also do the invoicing and use the UPS software to make shipping labels. He knows how to do it but he is shaky with it. Yesterday we tried to have things ready for UPS to pick up and could only give them one of the three packages that should have gone out. Today we snagged those and shipped some other orders because I started earlier. The challenge has been fun . . . I love a challenge. I didn't expect to be doing this but it's OK. Wouldn't want to do it on a regular basis. I finally bought a Kindle and love it! Take care and keep cleaning! |

| Sounds wonderful both of you Vic and Arlene. Vic - I'm really happy you had a great visit. You get two weeks of not chasing dust bunnies - okay??? All right Vic, you can fluff off the dusting too!!! Pun intended..... Arlene - I guess hubby always knew you could do it as did we.. Great job and you get two weeks no dusting! Wait a minute - you just said someone else was going to do it for you. That is great. You deserve it and can have three late days next week - okay?Of course knowing you, you are there a half hour early anyway!!!!LOL I have only been at the sewing machine a little bit as I really want these eyes to heal well. No strain if I can help it....So I'm using the time to clean up the sewing room as in reorganize it and line up projects I need to get done. Prioritizing I guess. Seems like I'm always running one project into another into another. From now on, only two projects out at a time..... |

| I'm hanging in there; doing fine. Barb, don't push it; there's plenty of time. Off to bed; another big day but I am satisfied. |

| Hope everyone's weekend is a great one. Mine is all baseball!!! Sean has two games on Sat and two on Sun. The 1pm games on Sat and Sun are for his regular team's playoffs. The 7 pm games on both days are for the All-Star team that he tried out for and made. These games are 45 miles away. So it will be watch and drive for two days. Grammy and Papa try to go to all of his games as do his other set of grandsparents. It's really comical to see who makes this comment first!!! "That's MY grandson pitching out there" or "That was MY grandson that made that play" - We get a big kick out of seeing the looks on other people's faces!!! We all love each other dearly and are great friends.... Off to get a load of laundry finished up before the travel begins... |
