Today we start from top to bottom. Check the light fixtures and get the dust and any dead critters out. Give the globe a good wash. Check any other light fixtures too. It is amazing how dirty some of the glass covers can get.
The other room for me this week is my office. This room could be a second bedroom or bath. Or a utility room - whichever suits you. In my office, today I'll clear all the papers from my desk. There will be a pile to toss, a pile of bills to pay and a pile to file. I really should be a lot more organized than I am. After being a bookkeeper for years, you would think I know all about "timeliness" in the office!!! Guess retirement doesn't extend to the home!!!
PS I'm sorry this is posted so late. It was typed at 8 AM and I just realized I had never sent it!!!

It's Tuesday!!! And I hope I remember to hit the finish button when I'm done typing!!!
Working still from the top down. Let's wash the mirrors and dust/wash any cabinets above the sink level. If they contain pharmaceuticals, check the dates on them. If they have expired, get rid of them. That goes for make-up products too. I'm a great one for holding onto lipsticks too long!
In the office area, I'll toss the toss pile, pay the bills pile and file all the receipts. That is 3/4 of the cleaning needed in there!! Make sure you do a little something in YOUR added room too.

I think today I will also post the bathroom detailed cleaning list just so you have one. Of course, it should be adjusted to suit your home.
1. Wash area rugs / bath mats.
2. Wash the floor
3. Straighten the shelves / drawers
4. Clean the shower stall/ when dry, apply a bit of furniture polish to the walls DON'T GET IT ON THE FLOOR!!!!
5. Wash the shower door if you have one or wash the vinyl liner.
6. Clean the medicine cabinet inside and out.
7. Clean the surface of the bathroom scale.
8. Throw away those empty bottles - shampoo, conditioner etc.
9. Wash the inside and outside of the bathroom trash can.
10. Wash the window if you have one..

Hope this helps you plan a bit...and have a great Tuesday.....

Happy Wednesday everyone.
Today I'm going to tackle the linen closet. For some reason DH thinks is a dumping ground for things he doesn't know where to put. I can usually find anything in there from tools to whatever.
So it will get organized and we will decide where to put all the extras.
In my office I 'm going to dust everything with a microfiber. The electronics sure do gather dust. My son has told me to clean my monitor with the cloth that I got with my glasses. He frowns on any moisture there - not even a damp cloth.
Hope everyone is having a good day. The sun is shining here now but all that is to change tomorrow.

Beautiful day here too! I was just outside for a bit.

Plenty to do but I'm so tired as I woke way too early. Time change, old age, who knows... Rolling on the floor laughing

I scrubbed the inside and outside of tubs, showers, etc. for my bathroom chore today.

Tomorrow will be floors.

luckily I did the linen closets last week while looking for some missing pillow cases. Still havent found the pillow cases Grumbling but everything in the closet is all tidy.

I bought my curtain rods and curtains for the craft room so will be organizing and setting up down there for the rest of the week. Hope to get back on track and have a clean house by next week so I can start thanksgiving preparations soon.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to post before this. But you all had the extra cleaning list and I'm happy to see that the list works too.
I have some appointments tomorrow so I am going to post Friday's message today...

Today we would have wiped down the cabinets and the sink area.

On Monday, we started high in our bathrooms and today we are working our way down to the floor.
It's the day to tackle those baseboards. They get dusty, the bathroom steams up and the dust turns to mud. And then it's the floor.

The office could use a vacumning and a check on the window too. Still looking good with all the papers put away...

Well, we made it through another week and I'm really gald to see you here with me. Enjoy your weekend and I'll "see" you again on Monday when we will tackle the
Master Bedroom.... So now go RELAX!!!

I ordered a Mint. You put swiffer cloths on it and it walks around dusting the floor. Hope it works; cant wait to get it.

That is neat!!! Now if I only had hardwood floors!!! The whole house except the kitchen and bath is carpet. The K & B are linoleum. And those are so small, it would be a waste for me to buy one. But it sure is neat. Please let us know how you like it as it might make a great Christmas present....

On my downstairs floor . . . which I had already swiffered . . . I turned it loose. I ran it for 3 hours changing out the swiffer cloth to a clean one every hour. Every swiffer cloth I pull off was full of dust. Obviously it does a better job than I do.

I'll run it again tonight for 3 hours. Maybe the initial time through. . . it goes into nooks I can't reach . . and next round it won't find so much dust.

It does get stuck under the overhang at my kitchen sink. But it navigates well around everything else. I had picked up my throw rugs and shook them and hung outside to air out. I put my bar stools upside down on the island. It goes around them OK but I felt sorry for the little guy.

Off to work . . .
