A campaign to get people to visit Iceland this summer. After cancellations and a drop in bookings during the volcanic eruption this campaign is intended to spread the word that now is indeed a good time to visit!

I just went to this one http://www.inspiredbyiceland.com/icelandlive/#blue-lagoon and there is a cool map top left corner where you can click on about 7 different cameras! I love this site. I see people swimming, is it warm and is the water warm? i also see steam coming out of water in one.....

Hi Connie :-)

Yes the water's warm, it's actually geothermal sea water very rich in minerals and supposedly very good for your skin. The Blue Lagoon is definitely a top tourist attraction. The air temperature is around 54°F .... the high could have been slightly higher, but probably below 60°F though.

If you click on the Geysir cam and you can see it erupt - might have to wait a few minutes ... can't remember the frequency, I think it's less than 10 min.

My husband recently met a local photographer who is planning a trip to Iceland for a book of his photographs. I believe he is already there. Let me see if I can't find his link.

In the meantime, I thought adding my photo links here would be appropriate, Iceland is a beautiful, actually a stunning place and I would go back in a heart beat!

OK, here's the photographer, you can click on the various tabs and even see exactly where he is right now via GPS tracking.
