Family: Piperaceae
Genus: Peperomia
Species: obtusifolia
Common Name: "Baby Rubber Plant", "Blunt-Leaf Peperomia"
Hardiness Zone: 10 and Higher

The "Baby Rubber Plant" has smooth, round to ovate, thick, succulent leaves and stems. It makes a nice ground cover in warm climates (zone 10, 11) but also does well as a container plant or cascading from a hanging basket. Since it loves humidity it's a great plant for a terrarium/vivarium environment. Peperomia does best in a light, organic soil with filtered/indirect light or shade. An east window is a great location if growing this plant indoors. The "Baby Rubber Plant" likes high humidity and moist soil, let the soil dry between watering.
