Family: Asteraceae
Genus: Senecio
Species: radicans
Common Name: "String of Banansa", "String of Beans"
Hardiness Zone: 9b and higher

This plant has cute succulent type leaves that are shaped like little green bananas It prefers bright light, but no direct sunlight. I keep mine in an east facing location but I've read that others grow it in both north and west windows. It blooms for me in Spring and again in Fall. I've read that the flowers are fragrant but I detect no fragrance on mine. The "String of Bananas" has a shallow root system, give enough water to moisten the potting medium and let dry slightly between watering.
