Irises: IRIS COLOR PATTERNS

 

AMOENA - White standards with falls a different and contrasting color

REVERSE AMOENA - Standards are one color and the falls are white

BICOLOR - Standards light colored; falls a different or darker color.

BITONE - Colors are the same just different shades

LUMINATA - Style arms and hafts are white or yellow, the remainder of the flower is washed with color

NEGLECTA- blue or purple bitones, standards are the lighter tone

PLICATA - stippled, dotted, or stitched margin colors on falls of a lighter color

VARIEGATA- yellow or near-yellow standards with darker falls of brown or purple

GLACIATA -  A pale color from plicata breeding- no plicata marking.
