Irises: IRIS COLOR PATTERNS IN THE US VS FRANCE

Hi everyone,
Even not an eminent specialist of irises as many of you I would like to do some comments on differences I noticed on presentation of irises here and accross the ocean...
First and I am refering to the 'iris color patterns' page from Dee Stewart:

IRIS COLOR PATTERNS IN THE US VERSUS FRANCE

N THE US IN FRANCE

Amoena

Reverse Amoena

Yes

No

Bicolor Yes
Bitone No
Luminata No
Neglecta No
Plicata Yes
Variegata Yes
Glaciata No
Self Yes

Yes we find the same terminology, no we do not find the terminology in the catalogs.

It appears from what I know that description is much more accurate in your country.

I have been looking also at the Chapman's terminology
http://chapmaniris.com/id40.htm
and of course from the French terminology to the most famous iris trader here Richard Cayeux
http://www.iris-cayeux.com/catalogue?crit&nouveaucx=1&lg=EN&...
where you will see how tall bearded are presented.
C.
