|We have loads of new things this year! Beginning with the pallet of compost and truckload of River Birch Mulch....|
|Tilling and finding stray grass and weeds before laying down compost, new plants, and mulch! Here I found a pupa of Hummingbird Sphinx Moth in the ground where the potato vines were last year...|
|Bought lots of great plants this week to add...
Herbs for Black Swallowtails:
Passion-vines, (Blue Crown) for Gulf Fritillaries
Autumn Sage, Cherry Red
Silky Gold Milkweed for Monarchs
Native Sweet Bay Magnolia for Tiger Swallowtails
Fragrant White Mistflower
and some more I will name and picture later...
I'm off to the school again now, this beautiful Sunday morning!!...
|Oh!.... and the 2 large trellises I found will work great for all the Passionvines! They stretch about 4' across and are the shape of a butterfly... How perfect!|
