| I just wanted to let you all know that you ladies were very much with me yesterday as I participated in the "Global" (formerly "National") Race for the Cure in DC, with over 40,000 others. It's an amazing, moving, emotional and yes, even fun event, and I wanted to share a few photos with you. Participants getting lined up before the start. The Mall was filled! ![]() The starting line - you can see the team from the German Embassy in front there - most embassies have teams in the race. ![]() This is always a source of amazement to me (in terms of the sheer numbers of people out there). The ones on the right of the divider are at just past the 2 mile point, while the runners and walkers on the left are less than one mile into the race. When I was at that point (under a mile), those on the other side were literally the front-runners - racing to the finish line about 12 minutes after the start! ![]() Breathe in, Breathe out...Move on - Jimmy Buffett |

| I'm still kicking myself for not getting a photo of this guy - we saw him at the Survivors' Tent after the race, and didn't know his story at the time, but thought he looked AMAZING! Breathe in, Breathe out...Move on - Jimmy Buffett |
