Cinda, looks like you have enough help, and you are making progress. I am making progress, by training my mind to not look for (possibilites).

Ruth, did I tell you about the guy that raised a solid red bore, and sold him for what I've seen cars go for. No spot, just red. Mike

I just had to get outside some today so I cleaned up behind the shed. The real progress is :
I stuck to one task and finished it /a real hard one for me
and when I was finished I put all my tools away

I love finished jobs, If I didn't have to stop a zillian times to do for DW, I could get more done. Can't wait for that foot to heal! Mike

Yeah, I could probably get a lot more done if I didn't have to stop and open the door for the dogs every 15 minutes. Bless their little hearts, I love them dearly, but boy do they take up a lot of time! Hmmm, ya know, I think we need another little icon to go with all those smiley faces at the bottom of the page....how 'bout a "whine" bottle? Whistling

You just reminded me of my dad's sayings. Whinning over something is a real wast of time, and when I think of it , He's wright. The cats try to detain me, and since I expect it of them, they don't bother me.
Woofie, I guess that shoe fit.
I read something on one of the cubits, about slugs, and roof shingles.Does anyone know where I saw that, and does it work?I use stale beer, and I believe it draws them from else wheres, because if I had that many, I would be stepping on them. Mike

I whine a lot too--but I try not to whine about people. My sister lost her husband in 1998. He was killed by a drink driver who left the road and run over him. He had stopped to change a flat and was five feet off the road.
That said, she has never been the same and never will be. When I find myself getting annoyed by things my DH does, I say to myself, "Now Sandra, just stop that whining, and be thankful you have a wonderful hubby like you do ! If he were not here you would miss him and have nothing to complain about, so STOP IT, you silly girl right now !"
Of course most people that talk to themselves are nuts ! So take this nuts advice and hug those loved one tightly and give the pets extra treats ! Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

Thank you Sandra, I feel that most of us are that way. We realise that life would not better without those loved ones that means so much to us.We are the winners. Mike

Since it's been raining off and on since yesterday... i couldnt get outside to do anything.... for a LONG time i've been meaning to de-clutter my hard drive. I've got thousands of photos, many duplicates, ,and folders scattered about... i did a bit of organizing today, and even deleted some.... probably half done on the organizing images. but i'm sure there is a lot still to delete.

sometimes it's hard for me to delete files, like BIG old back ups that i really dont need anymore.... it was hard to do, but i did it.

running a back up now... but there is still quite a bit of work to do.

Terese, I think it is important to first put it in our minds to get the mind uncluttered.Horay for you actually solving a problem. That is a very important task.
For me, I can't take a picture of anything, without seeing a mess in the background.
I have far from the ideal yard, but I'm working on it.Case in point.Empty soil buckets, and scattered trash. Mike

it's funny how you mention clutter in photos. sometimes, after I take a photo... i look at it and am amazed by all the "stuff" ... i'll run around and clean up and retake the photo. LOL. and photoshop is a wonderful tool for cleaning up photos too.

and I agree on uncluttering the mind. so true.

I'm working slowly but surely.

Terese, I know what you mean about photos everywhere....duplicates and backups all over. I have 4 external harddrives and 3 computers. I really have to go through them and tidy things up. (BTW, don't forget to defragment when you're done!)

Ha! Photoshop is the greatest! Many years ago my Dad took the all time greatest picture of my Mom; it captures her perfectly...including the sink full of dirty dishes and carrot peelings dripping over the sink behind her. Lovely.

Heh, heh, Mike, I think your definition of clutter is MUCH more critical than mine. Looks pretty good to me!

Now I can show you clutter, I'm just reluctant to show the worst, and it gets worst. For example, we put in this new garden window, and the mess you see from the window sparked my "clutter" cubit. Mike

First official day of Spring Hurray!
Hope everyone got outside for a bit.
I cleaned and uncluttered the front porch and outside entrance way.
A lot of stuff can collect over winter.

I pulled a gazzillion weeds from the side yard, mowed the lawn and cleaned up the doggie yard (yuck!) oh and aluminum cans ready for recycle center. Enough for one day! LOL! I can only handle so much sunlight, then I get sick, so stayed in the shady area all day. Hopefully I can get more weeds pulled tomorrow before the sun starts glaring again.

Sounds like we have a similar problem, AnjL. That's why I no longer live in SoCal.
I haven't been too organized about my uncluttering, but I'm chipping away at it. Everything I handle now gets evaluated for "keep or toss." Good thing I have a big trash can!

Yeah Woofie, there are a lot of us in my family who don't deal well with the sun. That's why 3 of us have already moved here and Annmarie will follow shortly.

As for my clutter. I only have to criteria, I don't give up books and I don't give up craft materials. Other than that if I can't figure out what it goes to or if it looks broke, out it goes. Like you I am chipping away at it. Thumbs up

Too Cluttered

I have awakened to the realization that I am owned and addicted to my own clutter. I am not at all an expert on much, and certainly not this subject. I feel like if we can just admit that there is a problem..together we can over come. Mike
