OPEN SALES

Co-ops are a great way to try new plants without breaking the bank. Vendors who are willing to sell for less when the sales volume is high, as in a co-op or group buy setting such as this, are accessed from all across the country. Many times the vendors will ship to each participant but occasionally orders are sent to one address for the best value and a host will reship to each participant.

Read the opening post for each co-op. There you will find the rules and type of discount being offered for that co-op. Any and all fees will be posted as well. Plant names and descriptions will be posted along with the price per plant. Usually there will be a link to the vendor as well so that you may look at pictures. Remember that besides the cost of the plants there will be shipping charges that may not be known until the order is turned in.

Please understand if you decide to join a co-op, most of the time you will receive healthy plants or bulbs from either the vendor or the host. However there are unforeseen events that neither myself (mamajack) or any other host will be responsible for. Hosts that are shipping orders are responsible for properly packing plants but once a package is shipped it is out of their hands. If you would like insurance purchased from the post office please say so when you order but remember that insurance only covers the cost of the plants and none of the shipping costs. Delivery confirmation will be added to each order and may be charged at the current rate of the post office. If you do not like taking a risk, then co-ops are not for you.

If you need to drop out of a co-op, it is important to let the host know as soon as you can. It is your responsibility to follow an order thread untill the co-op is over. Immediately after the co-op has closed, payment needs to be made within the deadline given. Each host will have his or her rules for ordering and for payment, so please read all instructions carefully for every co-op you join.
Either I or another host reserves the right not to allow persons into their co-op who are not civil to all involved, or for repeatedly canceling orders once a co-op closes. Most co-ops are based on numbers sold so canceled orders cause difficulties reaching minimums needed.

Each host is responsible for their own co-op and neither mamajack, nor cubits.org may be held liable. Each participant is responsible for reading each co-op they wish to be a part of. It is up to each participant to decide in each and every co-op whether the proposed venture is one in which they feel that the benefit outweigh the risk.

There will be one thread for each co-op. Everything for the co-op will be in that one thread: Information, spreadsheet, links, ordering and payment will be handles within the thread.

Have a good time looking at all the plants or other merchandise that may be offered. Order only what you know you can afford. Remember to be courteous to the host and other participants so that we can all have fun.
