| Shetland Sheepdogs (or Shelties) are sometimes referred to as miniature Collies. They are an extremely loyal, very trainable, intelligent, agile and sturdy breed. They were bred as working dogs and they love to herd. Shelties are one of the most successful obedience breeds, also scoring high in agility, herding and conformation. The coat may be black, blue merle or sable, with varying amounts of white and tan. Shelties bond quickly and make fantastic family dogs. |
