Ok!! I gardened today, I pulled weeds and uncovered mints, and daffodils, found some lettuce in the cold frame that overwintered, I have never seen lettuce live through a Maine winter, but I have some red and green!!

HI Everyone. DH told me the greens he sowed last fall decided now was a good time to come up LOL. He also picked my first bouquet of daffodils all yellow ones I have white ones getting ready to bloom. My parsley made it through winter too so now I have to deicde where I'm going to move it to as I want my herbs all in one spot closer to the house.

I made it, whew.... we just had our last blast of snow. I knew it was coming. I hope Charlie is staying warm. My bulbs are up but I don't know if they got freezer burn yet. I know the monardas and other stuff are okay. I shouldn't have cleared the leaves off the beds yet. I guess I wanted to "tuffin" them up. Salvias , monardas, daiseys, lobelias, heleniums, and forget me nots are showing their faces.. soon they will be up really high. right now they are still small and flat. No life on the new Hibiscus I planted last fall. I can't tell if the weigelia I planted is dead or alive. The two wisterias I have been growing are really leafing growing. the Lilac is budded, crocus up, and forsythia shrub is abouut to bloom. we will see what damage there is tommorrow. Or today rather. talk to you later..

Hello everyone. This weather is so wierd this year. We have had 70 - 80 degrees for about two weeks now, and all of a sudden it is maybe 50 yesterday, lots of gusty wind, and cold, then it got down to 35 last night. So close to freezing!!! I have an angel trumpet garden, and I am going to fill the fence in my front yard with anything that climbs this year, so that is the project I need to get busy on.
Anxious to read what you all are up to!
Linda
