Growing season is almost here and here's Charley with a sprig of hay hanging and wishing it was a pasture of fresh grass.
Come on Gilrs and let's get to making plans for that new Garden you want to show and make for this Big Red Mule. He's is
ready to get munching.
Let's Grow!!

Well, we have rain today and low 40's brr, but yesterday I planted Siberian Iris, 'Caesar's Brother', oriental lilies, and delphiniums. I finally got my tuberous begonias in as well. They are potted up in the GH waiting for warmer temps to strut their stuff.
Morning Charlie & girls. Looks to be a pretty nice day here. I am so ready for warm My January planted Hyacinth are blooming... talk about procrastination... I meant to plant them in October.

I have a lily seed sprouting.
This Hyacinth is a couple years old. No tulips. Can't raise too many down here, not cold long enough.
still got coleus growing, poor things , wish it would warm up to plant them outside.
I need to go outside but it is just 46 out, I have tulips up but as of yesterday they hadn't opened yet. I got tired of hauling stuff in & out so I planted most everything a few days ago so now instead of hauling I'm covering.
Good morning every one. Cold, wet and windy here today. No working outside today. Not tomorrow either. Sat. is suppose to be warm and sunny, hope to get the lawn mowed again then.

Lynn, I got a picture of that sedum I was telling you about.
I pulled up on couple and got them in a wheelbarrow in soil. If they make it I'll send them to you. Yes they do have a milky sap, so got to be careful if you are allergic to anything.
I so love you Charleen. That isn't a sedum, it's a euphorbia. You don't need to send me one, I have them coming up all around my gardens. Some I leave because the gophers don't like them and will stay away from them. Their other name is Gopher Spurge. The wild ones are agressive growers but pull out easy for me if they are where I don't want them. I have a couple of pretty hybride varieties.
Plant yours around your lily bulbs that the gophers like to eat. It works.

I Love you too. Now I can make a tage and put out there. I couldn't remember the name of that stuff for anything. Graveyard cactus is what I heard it call. I was hoping you would know. thank you dear.
Just a quick hello and back to work. Welcome to our chat BirdieBlue!
I second the motion Charleen! An article about Mules would be wonderful. Always nice to get to know more about our Charley! After all you can do some rerun pics of his farrier!

YOu mean and add it to the forum like you did Lynn?? I've never really written anything about mules except to you all. And You know I love them. Yep, I can do it. Someone better c-mail me and explain how I do it.
Just write an article in a word document. From there some one will help you get it into an Article to publish.
Here in this Cubit would be a great place for it. Chelle can help you get it into the Article program.

I think it would be great to feature an article on how Charley prefers to do his gardening!
I'd be glad to help, as far as my limited capabilities are able.
(I don't know how to get an article from a word doc into the articles feature here. I just wrote mine right in there.)
Charleen,
Just click on the articles link and have a look around. For some reason there isn't a tutorial in there so here is the link for that. http://cubits.org/cubits/pages/108/
