Truth should be everpresent.
Please be in earnest prayer for our DD. She has a very bad sinus and ear infection. She has no medical insurance and no extra money for the doctor. She is a single parent and lives almost 2 hours from her nearest family. She also just started a new job and cannot take off. She called us early this morning crying in pain. All we can do is call on God. We are 14 hours from her and have no money we can send to her but we know our God is able to touch and heal.

Cheryl, So sorry to hear of her problems. Has she tried a neti pot? This Ayurvedic nasal irrigator (filled with warm salt water) can be very helpful and relieving the pressure and is very inexpensive.

Yes, she has tried it but with her nasal passages so stuffed it does not penatrate. Her brother has one. I got one free in the mail and am going to send it to her. She is much improved now. My DDIL got her some broad spectrum antibiotics and her cousin had some ear drops for pain that were prescribed to her son when he had tubes put in. I told her to put peroxide in her ears to clear the infection initially and follow it with alcohol to dry it up. Then warm mineral oil to soothe it. The ears are draining so the pressure is off and the pain is much reduced. Thank you so much for praying for her.

How are you doing? We are still praying for you at church and trusting God to do a miraculous work in your life. You are a precious lady.

Thanks, Cheryl. I have been at home this week, but will go back to the Cincinnati area to start another round of treatments in the clinical trial Monday. My blood chemistry has not been what it should be to have the full protocol of two chemotherapy drugs in addition to the study drug, but I saw my oncologist in Lexington Monday, who gave me some additional insights to the sources of the problems. She said that the two chemo drugs are the worst offenders as to destroying blood platelets, and the fact that the surgery and radiation last fall destroyed all bone marrow in my left thigh-- the largest bone for marrow volume, is certainly also responsible. I actually feel pretty well since I do not have the side effects of the chemo.

As before, I ask not for prayers of healing (that's in God's hands!) but for the wisdom to make the best decisions in those matters that are within my control or influence. Thanks for your help.

I am so glad you are feeling better. Has the weather been nice while you have been home? We had some really nice days but the last few have been ugly. Cold and wet. I hate it when that happens. Thumbs down
