I recently bought a house well built in 1983 but oddly remodeled and neglected recently. I am doing some fairly major remodeling of the kitchen and master bath but the current project is the removal of all the old sheet vinyl flooring in the kitchen, family room and bathrooms. Does anyone have any tips? Some of it scrapes up quite easily but much of it leaves the backing behind. Any advice will be appreciated.

We bought a gizmo at a hardware store that attached to a sawzall (reciprocating saw). It worked fairly well!

Get photos of your project and show us what you have to do. Taking photos helps you to see how far along you've come.

A photo visualization would help a lot in giving you a more accurate advice. Would you mind, taking some pics?

My project is completed and the house is rented. Unfortunately I really didn't take many photos of the process - wish I had!

Thanks for the encouragement.
