I was gifted this tomato and have no idea of who it might even be. It is an orange tomato, but what has fascinated me is the shape. It reminds me of an orange bell pepper.

Does a 4 sided, block looking tomato have a specific name for the shape. I've only ever seen round, and plums and such like that.

Also, any ideas of what it might be named, so I can maybe google some pics to try and identify?

Kinda looks like a stuffer tomato. Do you know if it is hollow inside?

No I haven't cut it open yet to save the seeds. It is a good size tomato even though the picture doesn't show it. For comparison it is bigger than Banded Amazon and Black Master , two larger tomatoes I have on the counter.

I thought stuffer tomatoes were smaller in size?

Thank you for the links. Your right. I have a stuffer tomato. The first link showed the picture and the second link was really informative. It even tells you how to freeze and thaw the stuffer tomatoes so they don't end up a globby mess.

Since what I read says that there are only a few seeds and that they are somewhere in the center, is there a good way to cut them open so I don't destroy the few seeds?
