I just received a help request from a quilting friend. This is her question:

I make cross stitch lap quilts but I need help on how to machine quilt them.I have several tops made but thats as far as I've gotten. Is there a way you could please guide me thru it.

I can't help her because I don't machine quilt, but I know most of you do. So...are there those of you who can help Runningbrooks? She'll be watching this thread, so I hope you'll share your knowledge and expertise with her.

Thank you so much!

can we see some pictures of the blocks, or the tops put together??

without seeing my first thought is echo quilt...a "squiggly" line around outer edge of cross stitch design...then again, and again...to fill in the blocks??!!!

would really need to see some blocks to give a better thought.. Confused

Over here: http://cubits.org/craftycubit/thread/view/69895/ we are in the process of signing up to send quilt blocks to help Julie make quilts for the victims of the Colorado Fire...particularly Operation Wood Hallow.

Come on over and check out the forum and perhaps you can join us. Even if you are not a quilter there are ways we can all help with this project.
