It has no particular name, she just started putting pieces together until she liked how it looked. That's what she does, Mom is super artistic that way. I never inherited a hair of her talents....

Really nice. I can't wait to see the finished quilt too. Sorry I missed this when you first posted....where on earth have I been?
You tell your Mom that all the quilts I have, and there are many, are all hand pieced and hand quilted. I used to be able to do that too, but not anymore. I think I'd have to rely on my machine these days. I don't know how my mother and grandmother had the patience to make all these quilts. I love to sew, but my fingers are becoming a bit arthritic, I think, and that needle is getting much harder to control.
