Dear Barb, Glad you like my tapestries, I'm very pleased with them the shop has made a good job. I just happened to say to the young man if ever you get a picture of Durham Cathedral, please let me know (I was thinking of a print or photo) he said "like the one on the stairs" I went to look and it was on oil on canvas board, exactly what I was looking for. I did not hesitate and bought it on the spot!!!! Not thinking where I was going to put it. Any how as usual Neil came to the rescue and after much measuring and drawing he put the tapestries and the oil painting up, it measures 37 inches by 30 inches and is superb, I keep going into the dining room and looking at it in different lights! I have never spent so much on myself in a "madmoment" for donkeys years. Still I will have much pleasure for a long time. Hope you are well and keeping warm we are having some very dark, grey, damp days which are not doing my joiunts much good. Best wishes Eilden I do hope you enjoy these as much as I have making them. Eileen.

Just saw the painting and I'm in awe of it. It is so beautiful and I can totally understand the feeling of just needed to have it. I'm really happy for you Eileen. I can "see" you smiling and how nice of Neil to hang it for you so carefully. Your tapestries are superb and the framing is just right for them.

Eileen, Your tapestries are a true work of art and they look so beautiful framed and hung up on the wall in your home by Neil´s artistic hands. You have done a wonderful job, both of you. And how lucky you were to find this beautiful painting from Durham Cathedral and it´s surroundings. Magga

I thought I had posted to this thread, I know I saw it earlier. Something must have distracted me. So beautiful, Neil...Tell Eileen that it is an amazing showing of her lovely work, what a beautiful wall. Something to be very proud of. I know I did see the oil painting. I think what I must have done was follow Neil's link to see it and forgot to make my way back to this one. Beautiful painting, beautiful tapestries! Thanks for adding them here!

Sharran, Glad you liked my tapestries and my painting, they do a really good, its a tuny shop run by father and son and they are always so helpful. I'm so pleased with my painting I keep going to look at it. Neil suggested that I get a picture light over it so I think that will be the next adventure, finding a good one and getting him to put it up!! I'm always finding jobs for him, he is coming tomorrow to tidy up the garden and plants some more pansies for me. Hope you are well and seeing signs of spring this has been the nicest few days we have had for a very long time so we are making the most of it. Eileen I do hope you enjoy these as much as I have making them. Eileen.
