Thanks for the support, everyone... I don't mind being a little sniffly, just hate the 'drug-down' feeling that comes with it. Better today, thank goodness... Working on the frames today, will make a big difference I think...

Wow Linda great Christmas things. I think the lap quilt, it is very nice . Did you wash it after you finished it? The Santa is so cute too .
I just finished piecing a big quilt top I started early this year. I Have not taken a photo of it yet, as I still don´t know where I can hang it. I had some pieces left and have made 2 pillow tops, and then I still have quite some fabric and pieces left, that I will use later for something else.
Just sitting back watching y'all at work. I love looking at quilts, love all of them. My favorites are the ones that have black in the design, they remind me so much of Amish quilts, my favorites.
Beautiful work from all of you. Thunder, wow!! What a dilemma to be in with all those blocks.
Kiz, be well. Don't you just hate colds and sinus problems?
Magga, thanks for bringing this thread to life again.

I finally found a place to hang my blue quilttop - I climbed up the curtains in the living room and pinned it close to the ceiling. While I was doing this I had a flashback of a kitten I had a long time ago climbing in the curtains:rofl: So now I have a photo to share with you.
But first here is a photo of a blue/gold Christmas runner I made many years ago from the same pattern, although in the runner the pattern is on the diagonal. This pattern was on the front page of BHG American Patchwork & Quilting in August 2002 but in a quite different colors on a black background.
Here is my runner
And here is the blue quilttop. It is 94" x 86". I have always quilted everything myself, but this time I´m giving myself a professional quilting on this one for Christmas .

Good idea Sharon, and I could just make a wish that my daughter would bring me a small piece from the Netherlands as she is coming home for Christmas I have an old plate with a blue and white pattern at the bottom of my stack of kitchen plates. It is from my mother and is at least since the 1940s. I´m moving it to a better place. This is just something I have had before my eyes all my life and since it came to me I have used it in the kitchen for pancakes and waffles and such things. Thank you for opening my eyes - this plate is something I should keep in a safe place.

Audrey, Linda and Sharon,
I´m glad you like my quilt top , I´m so happy that at last it is finished. To tell you the truth I was sort of getting bored with it, but now when it is finished I think I will grow to like it again. I have some bits and pieces lelft, and some half sewed blocks. Next wednesday there will be an Xmas meeting in the Icelandic Quilting Association and I everybody brings a gift for another member. I think I will make a zipper bag for toiletries from some leftovers.
Sharon, Fjóla, my daughter is still very happy and is learning new techniques. She will be singing in a concert in the school in December together with lots of other students. No solo as there are too many, but she will be in 3 duetts and a smal Icelandic choir. I wish I could be there
