I love dresses, long flowing skirts moving with the breeze. Maybe it's from growing up with my grandmothers. I don't think I ever saw either of them in anything but long dresses, even while gardening. Here's an easy and quick way to get rid of old tees and have a new dress all at the same time.

Oh yeah! I remember calling them that for sure. That was before clam-diggers too. Hilarious!
Love the tee-dresses, need to uncover my machine and scrounge my tee-shirt drawer. Thumbs up

As I recall, pedal pushers weren't as long as capri pants and they weren't as tight at the bottom. Capris were tight all the way to the ankle and never had cuffs. They looked best on Audrey Hepburn. Pedal pushers stopped at the calf and were usually cuffed. They were more Mitzi Gaynor's style. I never wore either. I tried on a pair of pedal pushers in a department store dressing room when I was 12 and didn't like how they looked, so I never tried on a pair of pants again. Big Grin

I think you're right, Zuzu, but it's been a long time since I wanted to be Audrey Hepburn. I never quite mastered her grace and charm. Big Grin

I also thought of you when I wrote this article.

Pedal pusher were at the right length to not get caught in a bicycle chain...remember rolling up one pant leg for that same reason?

Oh, geez! I never rode a bike either. Of course, it's probably a good thing I didn't, in view of my refusal to wear pants. Hilarious!

Well shoot, Zuzu, you missed out on the skinned knees and mud puddles.
Back in those days I rode in dresses too.

Oh, no I didn't! Plenty of skinned knees and slips into mud puddles in my past. I ran everywhere I went.

We had to run.
Just to keep up.

That's right! We ran while our taller friends walked slowly by our side.

I used to skip a lot too. Did you?

I still skip a lot. Sometimes it's the only way to keep up.

My daughter is 5'10". Walking with her is a real problem.
