All are welcome to join in whenever you can.

I started to go through my stash(es) and have decided to go scrappy with a feel of autumn. I find I have a lot of pieces of orange, gold, yellow and rust. So today I pressed pieces and cut out what I could from them. Still a long way to go but I'm thrilled to make any kind of headway using these bits and pieces. I will use a medium beige to go with the colors and a very light beige for the plain squares and setting triangles. I think it will look good. No idea about borders yet......

If you want to go along, just print out the pattern and off you go!!!!!

I don't know your schedule Barb and i was afraid it was time for your evening treatment and didn't know if you could get back here to give the link to Karen. So I sort of stepped on your toes.

And I so appreciate it Sharon. Yes, this breathing thing is three times a day on a nebulizer for an hour each time. Sometimes I am here but find it hard to type with one hand. Usually I read through the hour.

Yesterday I pulled some odd pieces of fabrics from the cupboard and started pressing out the wrinkles and cutting into 2.5 and 3 inch squares. I seem to be gravitating to autumn colors. I press for ten minutes, sit still for five and catch my breath, cut for ten minutes and then sit still again. I am bound and determined to get all ready to sew by the end of this week. I will take a photo of what got done yesterday and post it in a while......

OK, so I didnt know there was another thread, thanks for linking that. Now to get started cutting. Nope, now to get some fabric together. 100% stash is my goal. I might need some neutral tho.

I had to go back to the other thread and use the link, cant find my way here otherwise. Anyway...two hours later, I have got my fabric that Im going to choose from. I had some old parts of old kits that used batiks. Ive got them all out, they are pretty bright colors, so Im thinking Im going to have to go white background. What I dont have, is the cord that transfers the pictures to computer. Will get on that.

I am keeping the 2.5" at 2.5" and rounding up the others to 3". After the half squares are made, I will trim to correct size which I believe is 2.5" They measure the same as the plain squares - 4.5" I always seem to have a problem with pinwheels going wonky on me so I will be careful....

In the interest of using up stash fabrics, I am using all the same beige for the four-patch and all of a different beige for the pinwheel. I had less than a yard of each so it worked out good.
Here is picture of them plus all my colors cut. It has been a couple of long days for me so I think I will take tomorrow off.. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Thats going to be so rich, great colors.
Ive changed my mind, big surprise. Ive got some mini charm packs that I dont know what to do with, so Im going to use two for the 2 1/2 squares.

There you go Pam!!! I love the precuts and use them when I can. But my thinking with this quilt is to use up pieces that I have kept far too long. Since I don't belong to a guild I'm not sure where to donate.just little pieces.

As you may not see it above, every one of the required number of pieces for each size is a different fabric except for one 3" sq.
I think I have used up a lot of the fall colors but I still have bundles of pieces left!!!! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing
