This is Barb's thread where she can share photos of her quilts. Every quilted piece that Barb has made is always a work of art so this is her Quilt Gallery!

She'll be happy to have your comments or questions and just as it is in an art gallery, the pictures shared here will be only of Barb's beautifully creative quilts.

I'll start the thread with her most recent quilt

Thank you so much setting this up Sharon. Now I must hook up the external Drive and glean pictures!!!! I think I will try to set aside and certain time each day to do this. That's the only way I won't get sidetracked. Hilarious!
Here is the quilt finished and on the bed February 28, 2016

This is the very first quilt I made. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. I was such a novice!!!

Love your log cabin Barb. I'm thinking maybe it was my first pattern too.

It's amazing how different the antique quilt looks in different colors.

Thanks you ladies. I'm really pleased with how far I have come with many thanks to all of you. I just love how we are able to help each other when we run up against something we aren't familiar with at all.

That "bit of time" that I was going to set aside has become most of the day. How wonderful to look back at all the pictures I have managed to keep since I got my first digital camera. I started quilting in 2002 and have pictures of most of what I made then that were taken at a later date. Norm got me my first camera in 2003 for Christmas and I haven't looked back. Thank heaven for the storage built into the cameras now. When the chip gets full, we replace it. I have never deleted a picture off the card. I have done so with the computer though!! Whistling
So I will post another that I made way back then. This one was machine pieced, then hand quilted and hand appliqued. It now hangs in my sons home in Colorado. When they had the bad fires out there and had to evacuate, the first thing they did was grab the quilts from me and from my daughter-in-law's mother. It was such a good feeling to know it was that important to them and I thank heaven they only ended up with some damage. Their home was saved.

This quilt is called Winter Memories and I made it back in 2003.

Barb, your first quilt shows us how creative you surely are. It's beautiful. My artist's eye tells me the green provides a coolish look to all the other warm colors and the color combo is stunning.

I made that to be a Christmas tree skirt and when it was together, I couldn't bear to cut into it for the hole!!!! So I kept it as is and use it as a table cover...... Hilarious! Hilarious!

Oh, just OH! How beautiful Winter Memories is.
So glad the quilt was saved and happy that they didn't have too much damage from the fire.

They ended up with over $18,000.00 worth of damage. The roof and every bit on insulation had to be replaced along with all the carpeting from the smoke damage. The house two houses away from them burnt to the ground. This was the Colorado Springs fire by the Garden of the Gods. I have horrible memories of worry from that time.... But at least they are just memories. They certainly make us appreciate what we have though.....

Speaking of making these for our loved ones, this is the one I made for Norm....

And this is one for son #2.... The kitten was a rescue which had to have it's front leg removed due to an infection. My son rescued another which had lost one of it's back legs. Those two cats, Bill and Bob, got around like there was never anything wrong. We loved them so much and they both lived over 10 years which the vet didn't think they would make 5.

The braid quilt is gorgeous Barb. Thumbs up I have never seen the braids framed like this, I love it and I might use this idea when I make one. And the kitten is so cute guarding the House quilt you made for your son.

Stunning, Barb! I'll never look at autumn colors now without thinking of you. And the kitten, I believe your son also has your very kind heart. Just beautiful, both of them.

This was my very first Round Robin. I designed the center, pieced it and then sent it on never seeing it again until it was complete and we all had a "big reveal"....My friends did a fantastic job with the borders they added.
