It's been fun! This was this afternoon's work. When my grandson stopped by with sister to pick up her doll and clothes, I asked if he would like a boy doll and he said YES. (I had already bought one). I spent the afternoon making patterns to fit his doll and clothes for it. Thumb of 2016-06-13/psychw2/55c464

Thumb of 2016-06-13/psychw2/7dda4d I got 3 shirts made, the 1 shirt he came with altered so it could put and off. I had to cut the little pants off to get them off. 2 pair of shorts and one pair of "jeans". The shoes are part of the legs so they can't be changed. #2 is the backs of the Tshirts showing closures, the #3 shirt is close up of the New Orleans shirt. That was part of a big overall picture that said
"SHUT UP"
then the crayfish picture
"And SUCK IT"
Bourbon Street
New Orleans I seamed out the shut up and suck it. I loved the crayfish but NO Way was I going to incorporate the rest of it! Bourbon Street would have been fine but I had make it all work within the size of the shirt as well.

Thank you, he informed me he had a camo SHIRT but needed the pants.... I got those done while they were playing. I had the 2 youngest after work so Mom & older sister could shop for underclothes.

Some day I'll get back to quilting but for now it's still doll clothes. I'm going to try and organize my pictures here later.
.
This week's doll clothes. 4 white T shirts. 17 bathingsuits (9 of them BLUE, will I EVER run out of that fabric?) and 12 nightgowns. 6 are from "scratch" and 6 more are only slightly remakes of either sleep bags or onesies I cut off and took up at the neck to turn them into nightgowns.
Sis has total of over 60 bags made now. We didn't do any matching and making of kits this week. We'll keep sewing and evaluate where we are next weekend.

Maybe we need to rename my "craft gallery" or "doll fashion show" since I'm not getting quilting done!
This week's labor:
5 nightgowns (need to sew on decorative button on one, I don't have a small brown one, hoping Marie will) & 1 pink shortie with panties, 1 Onesie dress, 3 skull print tshirts (10 more started!), 2 purple plaid skirts, set of yellow pants, shorts, skirt & capri, same amount of orange & remake of orange print bathing suit tankini, 2 horse print skirts and 7 Onesie shirts (and matching shorts/panties).
first picture of "Everything" together,
next is closer picture of my favorite 4
more close ups of various ones.

Other than the skull shirts, pants & shorts, & nightgowns MOST of it was easy remake, cut rehem & take in at back (all of the onesies)Thumb of 2016-10-01/psychw2/f483db

Well... this was the week of the special sewing event Marie & I were to attend. I stayed with her from Wednesday evening until just a few hours ago. Everything I sewed this week went straight into the completed holding bins so I do not have pictures! Darn it...
I got 13 more raglan sleeve skull shirts done, a few pairs of shorts and peasant style blouses, and one toddler dress remake into top, capri & skirt set. Beyond that, I don't remember!
Simplicity patterns were just $1 so we loaded up on more doll clothes patterns. We certainly could have made do without them but it was too much fun, inexpensive retail therapy. I hope to get a bunch more outfits made that have already been cut out FINISHED. NEXT Saturday I will be in a "Super Saturday" event from 8 to 3. I did not sign up for any of the classes but will bring my own projects to work on and visit with friends, sew with my DDIL who is coming with me.
I also made my first pair of "tights" from a knee high sock for the dolls. Of course Marie has now purchased a dozen pair more of socks for me to sew into more tights! If anyone is interested I'll try to find the Utube for you.

My latest 2 weeks worth of sewing here. First 6 pictures are what I bought to Marie's 21 pair of pant/shorts/capri/leggings & one pair of "tights" (made from knee high socks) and several outfits, 5 nightshirts, 17 bathing suits and 5 skirts. (2 weeks worth of work) and 6 dresses.

The last 2 pictures are what I got done at Marie's yesterday. Before you are "too impressed" remember that many of these are redone purchased clothes, I am NOT starting from scratch but cutting off, hemming and do other remodeling to make them work. I did make the aqua pants from scratch to go with that sweet yellow T-shirt with lettuce hem that I did. I would like to learn the "right way" to make the lettuce hems but for now what I'd doing is OK, just not GREAT.

I really liked the way #6 pale pink nightgown turned out. I cut & worked that from an adult nightgown, I'll have a second one that will be similar that I can try out my new decorative stitches on!

Most of the nightgowns are remakes of Onesies that I take up with pleat or two in the back or front (and trim with bow over pleat) and cut off, sometimes shaped, other times cut straight. The Onesies are too big and sloppy until the tucks/pleats are made. Sometimes the tucks are "hidden" like in that white & lavender print dress/nightshirt. Those tucks are on the shoulder seam and the collar hides them.

We have 25+ of the 18 inch dolls like American Girl knockoffs and 40 + full size Cabbage Patch dolls. That many we have completely ready to kit up after the dolls are prepared. The dolls are used and we need to finish cleaning and fixing hair.
Every doll gets a bathing suit, beach towel, at least 2 blouses, 1 pair of jeans and another pair of pants/shorts/leggings or capris, 1 skirt and generally 1 dress. Sometimes 2 skirts but no dress. All of that goes into a draw string bag big enough to hold the doll and clothes.
We also have some baby dolls that we will make a baby blanket, a sleeper or 2, "diapers" and hope to find those baby bottles that look like they are emptying when you tip them up. So far we have not found affordable ones. like these:
