| next up is the sunflower quilt I "started" over 4 years ago. I got the borders on it this year. It includes some embroidered John Deere tractor blocks etc. I have the backed loosely planned in my head... I believe it will be large irregular black rectangles with a HUGE sunflower appliqued on it.
this is a simple bright pinwheel I started my one of my newly wedded-in granddaughters. I wasn't happy with the way the border was "bigger" than the quilt pieces. I am having some distortion because of the pinwheel construction leaving bias on the edges.
I decided to see if I stay stitched around the edges to see if that would help. I took all the left over fabric and made a smaller child's quilt to test out my theory. It did work better.
I'm so grateful for the camera that was given to me by DG friend Betty and that this computer does have the capacity to download and store my pictures. I am going to see if a friend( /or my oldest son) can retrieve some of my work from the other computer.
Now you might say, "well THIS one is finished", LOL, it's not.
I bought it "finished" at a thrift store but if you notice in the print are these cute little umbrellas. I thought it would be a LOT cute with big duck wearing rain boots and umbrella were all appliqued onto it. I wanted it for a wall hanging for April (April showers bring May flowers) but I have not got back to it.
Now those are just the most "started". The easy ones I can lay my hands on! That does not take into account stacks and stacks of blocks that are organized and ready to sew into the next creation! Or EEKKKK, the heart print one that is an attempt at Quilt as you go.
