Maria, the blintzes she made were like the ones you remember. I have had them folded over into little pillows, but that recipe with the filling using an egg sounds much more time consuming than the simple way of just folding twice into a roll with cottage cheese, cream cheese and fruit inside. She only used the oven to keep them warm while cooking the rest of them, added the blueberries and powdered sugar and they were ready for the table. I have also had them with strawberries. The recipe using lemon sounds quite refreshing if nothing else was available, or just for variety.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

I use the oven to keep them warm. There are several ways to finish them once the basic crepe is finished.

Still waiting for the torrents of rain we suppose to have but so far it has only been sprinkles. I called the vet to see if he would call the pharmacy for Samson because he gets so upset when he hears thunder, his whole body is shaking that he worries me. I hope meds will help him to calm down.

Good night everyone, I am off of to bed

If you get the storms Maria, I sure hope Samson is okay!

Going to bed since I can't see with out squinting my eyes! I was cleaning my glasses and a screw came lose and the lens popped out. The screw is there (I think) but I can't see it good enough to fix it. DH will have to fix it in the morning. I have my cheater glasses upstairs so I'll bring them down in the morning. If DH can't fix them, he just may have to make a trip to the eye dr. office in the morning.

Sheri, a lot of the eyeglass places will pop that lens back in and put in a new screw as a courtesy, no charge. I've done that a number of times and they are always helpful. Must be some kind of customer service gesture of good will. Worth a try if your optometrist is far away or doesn't have convenient hours.

Thanks Shelia, Luckily for me, DH fixed them in no time once he got home. My eye dr. is only a 5 min. drive but I wouldn't have been able to head over so DH would have had to. I guess that was his incentive! LOL

Full day today! 8 kids, which is my maximum. It went fairly well so far. The two school age kids are at the table doing creative art. No doubt they will make a big mess but they are reasonably quiet and happy. The other 6 are laid down and quiet, hopefully sleeping.

We are just on the other side of the heat advisory and. while it is hot out, I guess it is livable! We are under tornado watch. No big deal but the weather radio going off reminded me we needed to do a tornado drill (required 1/month). We did that and by the time we were all on the couch in the basement, I had 3 kids crying. Julia was scared and the 2 little ones didn't like being left on the couch while I went to get Julia who would not come down on her own.

Hope you are all having a great day!

Thanks Ladies! Now I have one more to take. I missed our spring workshop so I am behind the # of continuing ed hours I need/year so I'm getting a few on line. Thee is a limit to how many I can do on line though.

We had high winds last night. I believe they are calling it a "Wind Event". My 6 ft. tall Big Boy tomato plants are taking a nap now. (laying down) sure hope they get back up!

I had to tie them up. They are so big and heavy, I found some old 6' fence posts in the shed and pounded them into the ground then used them to tie to. I hope they will be okay now. I know I lost a few branches here and there. I have a lot of green ones too. No green peppers yet that I can see but lots of buds :) My cantaloupe was flattened right at the base of the plant, not sure if it is going to make it.

Thanks to the bunnies, my broccoli got too late of a start and the heads are loose and flowering out before they are even full. Oh well, I mostly planted them for the birds and they don't care. I brought some in last night, soaked it (only found 1 worm) and they devoured it!

I'm going out for Chinese with a friend tonight and then Sunday I am running up to Vicki's for a visit. Saturday will probably just be work around the house. There are a few chores I need/want to get done. That on line class I took had to do with the physical environment and how it effects the kids and their parents. It sparked me to be thinking about a few changes. I want to work on the back porch (main entry) this weekend. It has gotten to be such a mess I'm sure it isn't making the best impression.

Hope you are all still here and okay!

Still here, just lazy I guess. I need to get dressed and get going. I have errands to run this morning and then a few things done around this house, before it falls down around my ears.

Hope all have the day they need and want..............

Good morning, another one hot and humid day is in the making, I just came in trying to get rid of all the crab grass and other weeds that want to take over the garden, Weeds really have out done themselves this year, hardly ever have much of them. Now I am soaked with perspiration but at least AC is cooling me off.

Same here with bunnies Sheri, they are having a feast with my flowers. You are such a busy lady, tell me how is your lovely daughter? What is she doing this summer?

Cece, am glad to see you here.

I am having an other Dr. appointment about my eyes, just hope I don't need another injection, I would be a mess tonight if I need one because my husbands brother and wife are coming for visit tonight. They live in New Hampshire.

Off to take a shower, will see you later, I hope.
