Jeannie (hey...I typed it right this time...you won't believe how hard it is to stop my fingers from putting that extra 'n' in there Hilarious! How Automatic we become!) I am glad you are okay. The early reports were worst in your area.

Down here it was suppose to miss us, splitting with some going south and the rest more north but it came right through hard and heavy. In addition to hard pouring rain, amazing house shaking thunder (dawg is not happy when that happens). At least the winds were not too bad here, every time the winds get high, I have so many trees that it gets dangerous out there. Then after I end up picking up branches and more branches before I can even think about mowing. I have several ash trees in the yard and I don't care what the DNR says, the tops are dying and the ash borer IS here.

Mary, had the same thing happen with my truck, no wiring damage though, caught it in time. A couple of years ago I thought the A/C in my car was going bad because the fan would only work intermittently in one speed, the dealer thought it was a small sensor part or something. He called me later. They had to take the whole dash apart because there was a nest full of mouse babies blocking the fan. BTW...I don't think a pitchfork is the standard weapon against the 'lil problems. Hilarious!

Ric...really enjoying your pictures.

Thanks Jamie! It's what I was always meant to do. When other little girls were dreaming of being teachers and nurses (yeah, I'm that old) I just dreamed of being a mommy and having kids around me all the time. Of course as an adult, I knew I couldn't afford to have enough kids for that dream so I did the next best thing and I love my job (most days).

I can tell and I think giving kids good experiences is something that too many don't take the time for, I enjoy hearing of and seeing the special things you do

Sheesh, our power outage last night messed up my passwords on facebook, dg,cubits, yahoo, and probably some I haven't run across yet!

Utility called to "apologize for the outage" blah blah blah. No mention of a refund or reduced rates... Rolling on the floor laughing

You lost power Sheila? Again? We never did. It just flicked on and off right away a few times. That is why the blasted doorbell kept going off. But never for longer than 30 seconds at a time...........

The only time I noticed it went out was just a brief flicker around 8 p.m. If it went out over night I have no idea when it occurred, but it must have been more than a few seconds to mess up the computer. Which was OFF. Hmmmmmmmmm.

We're under yet another Heat Advisory.
Temps in the mid/upper 90's H.I. 104°+

The juvenile Hummers have found us.
Know they are juveniles cause the don't fight, try everything blooming and don't know to use the feeders.

Heading for a plant sale and to meet up w/ Joycet, Bertie and Taynors from the ORVG.
Taynors (Sue) wholesales plants and has a 'Empress Wu' Hosta for us and my Sister.
(Here we are at Sue's.)
Then over to my Sister's to pick up some cement pavers and show off her garden.

We have had a beautiful weekend! Lots of sunshine and no rain! WOOHOO

My DD came home for the weekend and we went to church this morning.

The green tomatoes on my plants are getting bigger! No signs of redness yet though. Soon I hope! I do have an eggplant that is 4 or 5 inches long!!

Enjoy the fireworks Anna!

Ric...why do I think that even If you won the lottery you wouldn't spend it on an escalade?
