| Mary, getting to wiggle your toes in the warm beach sand! You are one lucky gal!!!! Jeannie, that sign is just too funny. Do you think they did that on purpose or was that an oversight? |

| I used to drive by a farm with the old outhouse still there, on the door with capital letters it read 4U2P, I thought that was hilarious Maria "Those who do not learn from the past are condemned to repeat it" G. Santayana |

| That's a good one Maria! Nothing going on here.....life as usual. I suppose that is better than tragedy to report. Hope you are all doing good too! Sheri |

| Maria, I am glad I was able to provide you with a laugh! I'm not sure what they were thinking when they made that sign. Beautiful weather here this morning. If we continue to have cool mornings through the weekend, I just might get some yard work done! | Here too, it is 62 out now sunshine and a slight breeze beautiful. Okay, I colored my hair and used the curling iron on it; holy puff ball, wet it down and now waiting for Ryan to get done with his shower so I can dry it with the blow dryer. No pic yet. I may have to go pay some one to cut it after all and fix it. And Ed is proud of himself too. Aw I just won't tell him if I go get it shaped or maybe my neighbor, she's a stylist maybe she can fix it. the faster I go, the behinder I get |

| Cherie, that is really cute! Did you have it "touched up"? If not, I wouldn't! |
|

| Thanks. Not yet. Neighbor was looking at it and said Ed did a real good job but does need to be shaped for I have wings on the side. He did good, my hubby. the faster I go, the behinder I get |

| Looks great Cece, I don't see anything wrong with the cut, Ed did a good job. I cut my husband hair, he had a head full of curls thick and very coarse . He always complained his Barber cut it too short. I suggested I will cut it instead, he really liked it, so for almost 60 years I was his Barber. I was wondering too. Going shopping today for meats for the freezer, Steins has a 50-75%off sale so you know I have to go there, maybe to Target, Wally World or both. Will be a long day of money spending. but I like it like that.![]() ![]() ![]() the faster I go, the behinder I get |

| Sad day for me here yesterday. Youngest son moved out. Watching him move his bed, his dresser, his tv and all his clothes was hard for me. Not supposed to be that way. My GIRLS were supposed to be moved out and on their own before he did............. Ah well Amber and Ariana will be moved out when there is a next opening at the apartment complex she is wanting to move to,, Oct. Nov at the latest. That will leave the one problem child......... She will NEVER get a job. Never ever................ the faster I go, the behinder I get |
|
|||
| If you are so inclined, you could sit down with the "problem" child and lay down some rules. What comes to mind maybe required to apply to 2 jobs/week with proof. 6 months max to get a job, any job and pay some type of rent, even minimal. Lose the job due to her own actions, out ya go. Those actions would not be for everyone though. Just a thought...... Lots to do today! I'll get busy as soon as DH lays down. Bushes to play (hoping they aren't dead! I forgot about them and they all but dried up. There is still a little green there so I'm hoping), tomatoes and eggplant to harvest and prepare for the freezeer, woodwork to strip, house to clean. Did I say a few days ago I feel like I am too lazy? Not this weekend...... Hope everyone here is having a good weekend. Sheri |

| Hi , Missed not seeing anyone posting here but other things are more important to get done. Sorry Cece that you are sad about a child of yours leaving but it is a very important move for them to become independent, after all that is what a parent wants, don't you think? I agree with Sheri about the other one who hangs on your apron string. I think I have said that before when my children received all the degrees they needed, they found a job but had to leave to find their own place, we were not about to take care of adult children. It worked out just fine. I enjoyed my week end, Thia and husband spent most of Saturday with ne helping to install a new printer and a new Cuisinart, both stopped working on the same day. Now I am a few $$ shorter, lol Maria "Those who do not learn from the past are condemned to repeat it" G. Santayana |

| Cece, to everything there is a season. You'll do fine, he'll do fine. It just takes an adjustment in your thinking. The job of a parent is to prepare our children for life as adults. As for your daughter, I know she has given you years of problems. I think the above suggestions are good. She needs to assume some responsibility, maybe small steps at first, but she needs some rules, and they need to be enforced. If she has no skills, she could still bag groceries or work as a dishwasher. But first she has to get out of bed and go find a job. Don't make her life too easy. Maria, I think we are both experiencing aging appliance syndrome! We replaced our freezer, now the washing machine is adding flecks of grease to some of the laundry. I have had to hand wash some things that I just took out of the washer! Our electric range is also old, has had to be repaired a few times, and we are looking into gas ranges to replace it. I know a lot of people cook with gas and would not have an electric stove. We have always had electric, and when we bought it we didn't have the propane tank that now runs the furnace. We added the furnace about 3-4 years ago, and started thinking about cooking with gas at that time. Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. | Mary, count me among the many that would never cook with electric. I have used electric stoves at friends homes a few times---UGH! |
