I know! I had to get a new computer recently. What a mess! Couldn't work with Windows 7...made no sense to me whatever...and it wouldn't take most of my other other software. Had to get XP back! I'm just an old foggie...once I learn how to deal with the "older" stuff (and it wasn't even OLD...now...me, I'M old), I don't ever want to struggle with new stuff that doesn't have any clues left around to follow! Now...if only I can keep this thing forever...

No kidding...every time you get a new computer, you need a different OS and software. I have a network with different ages of computers and so they read each other but as a user, it does get confusing to move from one to another. You have to laugh because every new model is supposed to be simpler...once you relearn half of the stuff! Thank goodness gardening will happen soon.

The search section for plants is all these detaill you can search by Latin, common names. Hts and wths of plants types of foliage and other criteria. Evey one I filled in and then hit search came back empty I thought okay maybe the cd needs to be in..........well that didn't work and I fiddled around it for so long their offices are closed now til Monday. The cwap I get myself into. Just cause I wanted to play.............. Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes.

Hi everyone, just found the new thread, at first I thought I lost you because I was reading about Ipods and Ipads and kindle, I have no idea how I ever could manage any of them but they must be something good or no one would have it.

Carol, must have made you happy that the Ipad was a hit for your husband considering how much he likes it.
I am not even certain what window I have, Is there such a thing as window 8? I think that is what I have.

Cece, many times they do speak English, at least they think they do, I don't understand that kind of English.

Linda, I would be like you with a new anything on my computer, wish I knew only 10% from what Sheri knows, bet you are not freezing with cold weather.

All I know is that I am getting tired of these cold weather days always below freezing, just hope spring will be like spring suppose to be.

Happy for you and your daughter Sheri, how wonderful to have a child to be proud of.

Hi Mary, are lambs arriving soon?

Good night all, time for bed.

Thanks to all who looked at the article I posted about. I am lucky indeed. My daughter makes me very proud.

Oh, I forgot about lambing! Yes, when is that Mary?

Anna, did you tell us what you did for your birthday? If you did, this old lady doesn't remember. Rolling on the floor laughing

Hi, Maria. Lambs will start arriving about 3 weeks or a month from now. The ewes are starting to look quite round!

Last fall I bought some bulbs for forcing on my windowsills. Blue and white hyacinths are blooming by the kitchen sink, they smell wonderful. Paperwhite narcissis are blooming in the dining room, and I don't like the smell of them at all. I might put them out in the greenhouse. Won't buy them again.

Although I have a bare spots in some of my flower beds, nothing green is showing. It's still too cold at night, usually 15-20, and just above freezing in the daytime. This hasn't been such a bad winter here, but I feel bad for those of you with record snow amounts.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Hard to describe "nothing". I made a pan of brownies from a recipe I got "over there" on the recipe forum.......oh, gads, were they good. I took them as a birthday treat after our Jazz Band rehersal. Only 18 in the band, so 1 panful was just right. I made chocolate frosting for them too.

We cross-posted, Mary. I totally agree with you on the paperwhites. What an obnoxious odor. I feel the same about Stargazer lilies........so beautiful to look at, but the smell about makes me gag.

Anna, the brownies sound yummy! I just have not been into cooking/baking for a while now. It doesn't help that DH doesn't care what we have for supper as long as we eat. LOL

Hi Mary! Looking forward to the lambs

Hi all. I am a happy camper again. After getting everything going call to Canada and having them either do it for me or talk me through it. I still couldn't get anywhere. I tried just Lily of the Valley for a trial and could get nothing. By the time I got around to thinking I'll just call the back, it was too late. They were closed until Monday. So I shut the stupid computer down and went and pouted reading a book. Came back in about half an hour ago to check here and just out of curiosity tried it. Got everything I was looking for. They could have TOLD me I needed to restart the computer. Or maybe I should have KNOWN that. I don't know but it works now so I'm a happy camper.

Hi Mary. I know you probably can but I can't wait to hear your lambing stories this year............... Sticking tongue out

Hey every one I am hitting the hay. Will hopefully have a better day tomorrow.

Hi Maria, and all, yes he loves his Ipad, it is most used present I ever bought! He can surf the web from his arm chair in comfort while I have to sit at the desk.
Picture of the modern man - Ipad on lap remote for the TV in one hand and the video controller on the arm of his chair. He doesn't need to move except to eat Rolling on the floor laughing

Happy belated birthday Anna.

We have snowdrops and early crocus just begining to bloom in the garden, spring may be coming. Hurray!

I have that here! Rolling on the floor laughing Well, laptop in my lap, remote control by my side and most evening DH even brings me my supper. Hilarious! Yes, I am spoiled.

It is nice to see a gift you have bought for someone be so appreciated and used!

UGH DH is cleaning through boxes in the basement but of course a lot of the stuff is mine so he keeps bringing me boxes to go through. I'd rather he bring them to me but just not what I want to do this early in the morning. I've been up since 6 a.m. WAY too early on a Saturday! I had a terrible dream and didn't even WANT to try to go back to sleep.
