Time for a new thread! Keep on talking!! ( we came from here: http://cubits.org/sitandchat/thread/view/51374/#top )

Maria, no problem, I will sure do what I can to help!

I had a very tough day today. One of my little ones was in such an antagonistic mood today! He just did anything and everything he could think of to irritate me. Tried not to let him get under my skin but a few times he did. He ended up eating snack out in the kitchen because he wouldn't chew with his mouth closed. When I told him to, he looked right at me and chewed several times opening his mouth as wide as he could with each chew. This child is just over 2 years old!! Urgh......

Tomorrow is a new day Thumbs up

Just being a 2 year old, then. Bad part is, if it was YOUR obnoxious 2 year old, you could dust his pants and it sounded like he needed a light dusting. Big Grin Can't with someone else's.

Off for my cardiohike...............show on Sat. and another next Saturday. Oy-vey..........gonna be a rough 2 weeks. LOL

Good news for my brother yesterday. A CAT scan showed considerable shrinkage of all the tumors on his liver. The chemo is doing its job. Also doing a bang up job on his mouth as well. Whole mouth is just riddled with sores and it hurts him to eat or drink absolutely anything. Drs gave him a prescription mouth wash which helped some in the beginning. Now not so much. Please keep him in your continued prayers. He's not out of the woods yet, but he is seeing perhaps a glimmer of light near the end of the tunnel.

Hurray! Cherie, glad to hear the overall picture is brightening! Continued prayers for him!!

Anna, yes that is EXACTLY it! A good dusting would have done wonders I'm sure. A time out just isn't all it's cracked up to be for some kids. I do have some who will straighten up in a second with one warning of an impending time out, but many could care less.

Today is another day and right now all 5 are happily playing with some freshly made play dough. They love it when I just make it and it is still warm. Didn't tell hubby yet but I sent for a small sensory table today. ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009F4YR6 ) I'll have to move the regular table a bit to put this somewhere when I want to use it. I have a "dirt" recipe I want to make for the kids to play with in it after it comes. Lots of other good recipes for it too including "clean mud"! (I'll cover the surrounding floor with a vinyl table cloth)

Here's hoping you all have a good day!

A good example is the best sermon.
Hi Everybody!

Sheri,
You are a brave soul! I can see how this new sensory table will require constant supervision. But, the munchkins should be wild about it.

You have sooo much more patience with a naughty child than I ever did...

Cherie,
Has your brother lost a lot of weight? Can he drink through a straw more comfortably than eating? Maybe shakes or malts would go down and be tasty and calorie-rich for him? I pray his health continues to improve.

Anna,
When can we see pics of your new car?

Maria,
I love to drive, but I'd be uncomfortable going cross-country by myself. Two to 300 miles isn't intimidating though, unless there are huge towns in the way. ha. Just give me open roads and I'm good to go, unless the gas prices continue to rise. Yikes!

I wish I could help you with your computer issues, but I'm not the best for explaining things. That was my DH's specialty. I have to admit I took his computer savvy for granted. I felt pretty self sufficient as far as computers go...but am finding out that I felt that way mostly because I knew he had my back, anytime I had a problem I couldn't figure out on my own. sigh.

DG is acting funny this morning...still. I wish they(admins and tech teams) could get it fixed!

Have a good day!

Deanna, no he hasn't lost any of the weight he had gained back before the sores in his mouth. My Mom says he forces himself to eat and she can just see the pain in his eyes as he is trying to eat. He has been drinking some tea, and some ensure everyday. He's determined to beat this and not lose weight either. I tell u, ,my brother is a trooper..........................Strong willed enough where he is not going to let it beat him.

At the time I didn't have a name. I made a long list of islands from the Caribbean that I "approved" of then gave the list to DH and told him he could name the new boy. LOL Only off of my preapproved list Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing He felt good he finally got to name a bird. Anyway, he chose one of the Jamaican islands--Pedro. So the new birdie is Pedro Hilarious!

As everyone has been quiet I thought I'd brag about the lupins in my garden. Most of them are self sown seedlings that didn't get weeded out last year because iy snowed so early. Now I'm rather gald they didn't!

Oh Carol, those are just beautiful! I've been wondering where everyone has gone to!

Jeannie bought me an iris for my iris bed last year and it is the first to bloom this year!

Congratulations Sherri, lovely baby! All 3 of my own were whoppers too so I feel for Mum, who looks remarkably fresh in that photo - its dad that looks a little frayed round the edges!!!

Glad you liked the garden pictures, I'm surprised how good its looking considering we have had virtually no rain since the beginning of March and that following the coldest and earliest starting winter on record too.

Where has everybody been lurking?
Carol
