I've been MIA for some time and I apologize. Life was bogging me down and I was going through a "loaner" period. I think I'm pulling out of it now.
The first thing I noticed was I needed to start a new thread!

I am going back to school to get my associates degree in Early Childhood. I'll be taking all my courses on line but due to poor communication from WECA (Wisconsin Early Childhood Association) about the scholarship I'll be getting, it will not be summer session before I can start my first course.

We had a great Christmas with all the kids and grand kids here. A very quiet New Years Eve with just the two of us, just the way we like it.

Mary, a cider press sounds wonderful. I just love good apple cider! Can you make other things with it to or is it a one purpose machine?

My mom has a cider press. My dad got it for her at an auction. The guy that was bidding against him came up to him after the sale and asked him "what are you going to do with it?" Dad says "uhhhhh............USE IT. What were YOU going to do with it?" Reply........"put it in my rec room".

Having fresh cider has spoiled me for having yummy raw cider. Hard to find unless you know someone that does their own pressing.

On Friday I had a "girls lunch in the greenhouse with 4 neighbor gals". I try to set a nice table...........here it is. We had lasagne, cheesy garlic bread, fruit salad, apple dessert, wine and chocolate. Everybody brought something. The dessert was my contribution.

Be yourself, you can be no one else
Move over plants, the people need to have lunch! It looks like fun, and what a great idea. What kind of apple dessert did you make?

We celebrated New Years Eve by doing nothing. We were asleep by 10 and the new year came without any help from us. No need for those hangover remedies they have on the MSN news page every Jan 1.

Anna, funny about the guy wanting the cider press just to put it in his rec room. I'm glad it had another turn at a more useful life.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Lovely table Anna! I'm sure the food and company were also wonderful.

No need for hangover remedies here either. Now if anyone knows of a way to make all the Christmas decorations jump back into their boxes.......... Rolling on the floor laughing

I see the video here too.

I would love to have a cleaning lady. I've actually been trying to find one but the agencies want to charge me ridiculous amount because I can't have them come M-F during the day. I need to find an individual but don't want one that I can't get good references for. I've asked many people I know if they know anyone but so far I haven't had any luck.

Here to wish all my friends a great wonderful New Year !!!I Have not had a Christmas tree since my husband died but I do remember it was always taken down the day after Epiphani when the three kings came to visit Baby Jesus, hence the 12 nights of Christmas. Actually I was at my daughters house for for Christmas dinner, other than that I was alone.

They are such fun. Aleigh and I made mini-cupcakes while her brother and grampa finished their Lego's crane. I had a Jiffy mix, I cracked the egg into a cup and measured out the water......let her dump both in, then she ran the little hand mixer while I turned the bowl. I put the batter in a cup, then let her put it in the pan. had quite a bit on the top of the cupcake tin, but, nothing that couldn't be wiped off.
