|Okay the 1,000.00 question: Which one did you get? If it is planted where it will get full sun hopefully on the south side, once it freezes, mulch it with a couple inches of leaves. Don't cut it back till you see new growth and know it can be slow to show signs of life in the spring. I have two others that I've had for about 4 years now and nobody told me about how slow they are to show life..........Sometimes they will die to the ground well more oft than not but they come back up at the crown and grow gang busters............My original two have loads of buds but most haven't opened yet. Last year and the year before JB's got all the buds and flowers but so far so good on that front. You know the blooms only last about a day sometimes almost two but there is usually lots of buds so it seems as though they last longer.
Hope your works for you as well as they have for me. Now these two I bought today say they are only hardy to zone 5 so I'm a little leery........They will get mulched BIG time this fall.
the faster I go, the behinder I get
