Dave filed a defamation suit against Internet Brands on June 2nd, right after Miguel posted in DG and accused Dave of stealing software code and database data, among other things. He hasn't mentioned it here, probably keeping quiet on the advice of his lawyers, but now it's on the Internet, so I guess we can talk about it. I know it has nothing to do with smoking, but I think it's big news and good news.

I was wondering what was going on. It makes me wonder if some of the things posted on Cubits will hurt his case. I hope he wins.

Tell us more, Maria. How long have you smoked? What's your brand? Do you pay a king's ransom for your cigarettes or have you found a less expensive option?

WHEN I MET MY HUSBAND HE SMOKED AND OFFERED ME ONE. I SAID I DON'T SMOKE BUT WILL TRY ONE, IT WAS A LUCKY STRIKE AND 65 YEARS AGO THIS OCTOBER.
WHEN HE LEFT MY COUNTRY HE PROVIDED ME WITH QUITE A FEW CARTONS.

MY FATHER WAS HORRIFIED TO KNOW I WAS SMOKING THOUGH HE WAS A SMOKER BUT IN HIS MIND WOMEN DO NOT SMOKE ONLY THOSE WITH A CERTAIN OCCUPATION. I THOUGHT THIS WAS HILARIOUS AND KEPT ON SMOKING BUT NOT AT HOME.

THE ONLY TIME I DID NOT SMOKE WAS WHEN I WAS PREGNANT BECAUSE IT MADE ME SICK TO MY STOMACH BUT AS SOON I GAVE BIRTH BACK TO SMOCKING I WENT.

MANY, MANY YEARS LATER I DRIED TO STOP BECAUSE OF THE HEALTH ISSUE. I BEGAN TO SUFFER WITH A BAD CASE OF VERTIGO.
AFTER ABOUT THREE MONTHS MY DOCTOR SENT ME TO A NEUROLOGIST AND ALSO TO HAVE MY EARS EXAMINED. THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH ME BUT THE NEUROLOGIST ASKED ME IF I SMOKED, TOLD HIM ID DID BUT HAVE NOT FOR A FEW MONTHS. HE SUGGESTED I TRY SMOKING ONE CIGARETTE. IN THE MEANTIME MY HUSBAND QUIT SMOKING FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS THAT MEANT I HAD TO BUY A PACK.. BY THE TIME I FINISHED SMOKING JUST ONE, THE DIZZINESS DISAPPEARED.

HAVE BEEN SMOKING EVER SINCE. SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS HAVE PASSED AWAY FROM LUNG CANCER ONLY OF THEM ONE SMOKED. MY DOCTOR, WHEN LISTENING TO MY LUNGS IS AMAZED THAT I AM A SMOKER.

CIGARETTES IN MY STATE ARE AROUND $80.00 A CARTON.

SORRY FOR THE CAPITAL LETTERS BUT I HAVE A VISION PROBLEM.

I don't think anyone here is going to complain about your capital letters, Maria. We're just happy you posted, and I'm especially happy to hear that someone as healthy as you has been smoking for 65+ years.

That's very interesting about the vertigo. Another of the health benefits of smoking.
